how hot is too hot?

i've had micarta to 300 and it started to expand quite a bit between the rivets. i wouldn't let my infi get above 500, so i would suggest taping a rectal thermometer to the blade before your stick it in :thumbup:

What is the deference between a rectal thermometer and and an oral thermometer?
