I'm close to buying a ZT0560, and I'd like to hear from you folks what kind of customer service I can expect.

do they require the knives to be sent to them, or may they send out some parts under the right circumstances. is there a list of what they may send out?

I don't live in the US, so shipping a knife there for warranty may be pricey.

Haven't personally needed to use their CS, but I've never heard a bad thing about them from people that have.

If you need parts like clips, torsion bars, screws they'll send them right over no question asked.being out of the USA I'm not sure of there policy. if you need things fixed, sharpened etc etc send it right it and they'll take care of you. There customer service is the best in the business. just search for Thomas W and you will see the light

Excellent! Kershaw will replace almost any part you need for free!
Great people and they respond very quickly to any emails

If you have a problem, they will fix you up in a jiffy!

Kershaw has the best customer service in the industry hands down. There isn't a better CS anywhere! I'm not exaggerating either, that's the best part.

:thumbup::thumbup: 2 thumbs up, don't hesitate.

Go to their website and look for the link to the "Contact Us" page.

You'll see something like this when you select "Warranty Service" from the pull-down menu next to "Subject".

Fill-in the blanks and check the boxes for the parts you need. Don't know about their shipping outside the US, but you can ask.

i dont know if its there "best part" cause they have some pretty sweet knives but they hands down have the best customer service i have ever had experience with. as a matter of fact there are some parts in the mail right now from ZT to me.

back to the point... BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE INDUSTRY

I have had excellent experience with Kershaw customer service (though I have only needed it a couple of times, which is fantastic for having nearly 60 Kershaws). I can't speak to the issues with customs, but as far as Kershaw / Zero Tolerance customer service goes, I would say "don't hesitate".

I have used customer service for Kershaw and ZT knives. They have always addressed any issues promptly. In each case the fixed all problems I may have had with a knife. Their communication is excellent. Emails were always answered promptly. Phone calls were always answered with understanding and politeness. Their customer service is excellent.

will they replace framelocks when they get worn out? or is it asking too much?

I had a ZT 300 that developed lock rock, and they replaced the framelock with a new one. Plus they sharpened it up real nice. It looked and operated like new when I got it back. I also had a 560 that had lockup problems. They replace the framelock with a new one, sharpened it up and made it better than new. You will have no problems they wont fix.

I'm getting more and more impressed by ZT.

is there a slight possibility to even have a lock bar sent to me if the old one wears out? or is that something the absolutely need to fix themselves?

yep, best CS in the industry. Heres a few reasons why their service is better than others..

they will send you a pocket clip no charge.

they don't ask you to pay return shipping when sending in for sharpening service.

they don't have a "no replacement blades" policy

they are friendly when you call them ;)

I dont know. In my case I sent the knife in. That way it is professionally fixed and any fitment issues can be addressed immediately. I doubt the would send you the framelock for that reason, ensuring proper fit.

We don't mail out things like lock bars and scales. We'll mail small items like pocket clips, screws, torsion bars, etc. But bigger things like scales and blades have to be sent in to us for repair. As long as we have the parts you need in stock, it shouldn't take us too long to fix it and get it back to you.

I don't think you'd have to worry about the lock bar wearing out, at least not anytime soon.

I just got my ZT0200 back today actually. Sharpened, and the rounded tip restored to a nice point. It was out for barely two weeks, and came back packaged better than I had sent it. You'd think they were sending a hard drive with how well it was boxed.

It's the only knife I've ever sent in to them, and it was only a short time that it was gone. The few times I've called them, they were kind and personable. I can't say enough good about their CS.
