how is the customer service?

so if the lock wears out I'll have to send it to them. they will send it back to Europe right?

They'll send parts to anywhere in the world that the mail will go.

will they replace framelocks when they get worn out? or is it asking too much?

Yes, but for those, you do need to send the knife in. They won't send those out.

The warranty doesn't cover normal wear and tear on items, such as a lock wearing out. i don't think. This would be like buying a pair of shoes and sending them back after you've worn them out from a year or 2 of use. It's more for the materials and craftsmanship. You would be better off emailing and asking them. Even then, Thomas and Jimmer have said clearly that each warranty case is different, there is no universal answer. I could be wrong, it's happened once before. :)

Warranty service is awesome. Sent in a Kershaw Speed Bump that had a cracked spine near the lock. Got it back with a new sterile blade within two weeks of them receiving the knife. Just follow the online directions, fill out the form and send it in if you have issues. This is state-side, by the way. Thanks again, Kershaw/ZT.

I just received by 0560 back from them for warranty work. It developed lock rock, so I sent it in. Living in Oregon, only a couple hours drive from the factory, and from everything I had heard about their turn around time, I was expecting a superquick fix. It took over 5 weeks to get my knife back. I only contacted them once during that time as I thought it was unusually long. They told me they were having staffing issues, but that my knife would get fixed. They ended up replacing the lock side. And I do have to say that the new lock side is better than my old one. There are NO machining marks, even on the inside of the lock bar cutout (there were on my old one), the lock bar face meets much more flush with the blade tang, and the chips that were in my blade were sharpened out. The end result was good, it just took longer than I expected.

You will have to send it in, but yes they will send it to Europe. In my personal first-hand experience, they will restore any of their products to 100% even if the damage/wear is caused by abuse. As was said above, every case is different, but they've always done right by me.
