how is ti worked

Hi all, Just thought I'd ask if ti can be forged to make a knife blade and any sugestions on who to contact about making a custom with my ti .

I dont know what type of ti it is except that it was used for a surgery and would like to have a knife blade made ut of it if possible.
Any thoughts?

No one is interested in forging me a ti blade and make me a knife.

Most alloys of Ti don't make good blades, and the ones that do basically make good diving knives and non-sparking knives for use in highly flamable situations. None really have the best blade qualities you'd expect from a good steel. If you want to use that piece for sentimental reasons, I'd suggest having it made as the handle rather then the blade, you'll get alot more willing makers I bet.
