How long did it take before the Battle Grade ASHs started shipping?

A 45% markup WOULD have been excessive...but his markup was over 70%.

IIRC when I first saw it the price was something like 425.00. I have seen infi ASH-1s going for about that.

Precisely my point! Marking it up to $425 puts you in INFI ASH1 territory, so then there is no benefit to buying a battle grade in the first place and owning a lesser quality steel for equal money.

I'm not disagreeing, lol (just correcting the math). It's pretty much a moot point, though, because he pulled the ad.
(If it had sold for that price, I think I would have HAD to flip one of mine, too, lol.)

I'm with ya on the crazyness of it all! Not sure what math you are correcting but the original BG ASH1 was $247+ $30 for G10 + what Busse normally charges for S&H $15 would equal $292 versus the $425 (shipped) price we were comparing it to ($133 upcharge). That would equate to a 45% mark-up over the original price, not 70%.

I am not disagreeing with you guys, HOWEVER if someone is willing to pay an absurd amount for a knife, it is called Supply and Demand. If you guys had a Ash-1 let's say for sale on the forum, and you were asking $400 for it, and somebody instead offers you $600 for it, would you take it? What is the old Ron White saying (You can't fix Stupid)

Honestly, in a knife this size most people wouldn't even notice much difference between SR-101 and INFI. What most people seeking ASH-1 are after though is the design, so I wouldn't say it's that unreasonable in that the design still is somewhat rare and desirable.

When I saw that one on the exchange, I was disappointed and a little pissed. Was hoping to pick one up after having missed the window, (Foolish) Knew they would be marked up but thought that a little bit of a kick in the balls. Figured I just hold out till I could afford an Infi version..

This particular Busse offering is a great value for those fortunate to snag one and remember "no regrets"; whether you are the original buyer or you've purchased second hand.......you've got a sweet workhorse of a blade.
As long as the blade is legit.....no one......should be second guessing a seller....the value is confirmed by a sale.
I don't think it's proper and I doubt any of you critiquing this seller would appreciate it if you were the focus of this derailed thread.
I think it's time to get back On subject. I ordered my BG ASH the first day offered and I am anxiously awaiting notification and shipment.

This one made it to Utah Tuesday

^^^^^^I like the flag motif on the sheath.
I may have to hit you up for one when mine ever makes it here

Don't worry, there will be plenty available on the exchange once they start shipping at a reasonable price

The 730 I ordered (two for each day of the week) all had black blades and black canvas....no sign of any as yet either... :D
