I am new to this knife making thing and i am starting small... i ordered a few custom blades from two finger knife co. and was told about ten days... well thats been a month now and i cant reach them and was wondering if anyone has had the same result with ordering custom blades from them.. im kind of getting frustrated because of the waiting and since im so brand new to the tradecraft i dont know if i need to be more patient or what?....

thanks

A month without contact is definitely stretching it. Time to email/call daily, or cancel if you ordered with a credit card. There are plenty of places selling decent finished blades to start with; you shouldn't have to deal with that long of a wait.

I agree too long without contact or reason. Check out Grand Leavitt at Snake River Knives. He is there in Id and sells some beautiful custom blades on ebay.

i am looking for something in say like a 1095 or a d1-2 steel not really damascus because there going to be my first knives and are going to be abused. so the blades dont need to be fancy, just functional,

ive been trying to find a person or persons that make high quality blade blanks already heat treated and sharpened due to my limited ability and lack of tools .
I have tried two finger knife company but to no avail and am getting real fed up. Ide like something in a great all around tough steel like 1095 or d1-2 steels mostly utility blade, noting fancy. if you could maby point me in the right direction that would be awesome.

thanks
