I have been carrying my large plain for one year now.It has been sharpened many times and has been upgraded with the new clip.It is as solid now as it was when new.I use it as much as I can.It is a serious high performance knife and has never let me down. This is the only folder that I have owned that truely holds an edge.
I have carried other folders but never as long as the Sebenza.I always became unhappy with them, sometimes within the first day!I finally found the perfect daily knife for me.
Thanks
scott

I agree The benza is a great knife been carrying mine for about 2 years, besides the scratches on the handle the blade is like new!!

I have a large plain that's been in my back pocket for about 2 years. All of my Levis have a worn out hole in the back pocket where the end of the knife sits.
I've sent mine back to the shop once for engraving of my initials and a bead blasting. I've also upgraded to the new clip.
I've sharpened it many times (easy to get scary sharp with the Lansky) and the handle slabs are back to their well used look. That stone tumbling of the blades, however, is great. There's not one mark on the blade from use. I use it all the time.
It's amazing how nice it is to have something of this quality with you all the time. Just like wearing my IWC wristwatch. 2 items I would never be without.

About 30 minutes. Just got my used large plain from Nimrod. Touched up the edge on my fine stones on the Sharpmaker. WOW it's sharp. Happy Happy.

Thirteen days for my Small Sebenza.

My only regret concerning this knife is that I did not get one several years ago when I first started thinking about one.

The Small is about as close to perfect as possible for my uses. But that’s not stopping me from planning and scheming to complete the Trio.

Scott, EDGE1, & Lenny...

My old-style Sebenza was "born" on May 21, 1993, and I've been carrying it off and on since around that date, and moreso recently since acquiring a really nice canted pouch sheath from Gary Graley.

The handle shows the usual scuff marks you'd associate with a user of this age, and is set off with a small braided leather thong that G2 tossed in with the sheath at my request.

The blade finish is polished satin that was
standard back then, and is in pretty good shape considering it's usage. It has been used a lot, but I'd be lying to you if I said I've used it really hard. Nice to know beyond a doubt that it would pass muster though.

I'm looking at my table of knives here in the computer room, and nope.....Can't find a finer benchmade utility folder in the lot.

I've had my small sebenza for a month and it has already relegated all my other folders to the storage drawers. Razor sharp out of the box, stays sharp, locks up like a tank, at a comfortable size and weight, and a great blade shape. As a daily carry it's hard to beat even compared to full blown customs.

I have had my small plain for six months, what a great knife i love it. I teamed it up with one of Gary's fantastic sheaths, they make a awesome duo. IMHO , his sheaths are of the same high quality as the sebenza.

A large Sebenza has been on the job just over 18 months now, still going strong.
