I don't feel comfortable carrying anything less than 3.5" in my EDC folders, so my preference is in the 3-4" range.

I voted "between 4-5 inches" since the largest knife I have EDC'd had a 4.5 inch blade. My Izzy has been getting more belt time lately though.

I've been carrying a Victorinox Camper with the 2 5/8in. blade and baby pen blade, but I have come to believe a 3 1/2in. blade and 4 1/2in. handle is the perfect size for an EDC folder. Any longer, especially if it's overly wide, takes up too much space in the pocket and isn't needed for normal hands. Most designs don't allow for a longer blade in that perfect handle size or I'd go for a 4in. blade.

usually under 3", as EDC most time Vic Spartan or Fallkniven U2 or Queen Canoe.
It depends the mood and the environment...
:D

I perpetually carry a Victorinox Tinker (roughly 2-5/8 inch blade, I think), in addition to a 3" to 3.5" locking folder (rotates daily), in case I need something beefier. I initially started carrying the SAK because I was worried about scaring the NKP majority on my college campus. However, I've found that the blade on my SAK works just fine for 90% of my EDC tasks (opening packages, some food prep, etc).

My EDC folder is a large Sebenza (3.6" blade). My EDC FB is an Izzy 2 (2.75" blade). I do carry both most days and the Izula gets better'n half the useage.

PP is handled by D & G Security (Doberman & Glock :D).

Generally in the 3-3.5" range. That is, as large as I am legally allowed to carry in my state. If I was allowed to carry a larger blade, I probably would. But I'm not.

My normal carry falls between 3.5" to 4.0", more 4.0's than 3.5's. I do 4.5's also!:thumbup::)

I got rid of most of my "mini" folders, except for my Spyderco Bob T slipit. It was one of the small one handed openers that actually was comfortable to use for extended periods of time. After switching to slipjoints(like them a lot more, easier to sharpen), I have gotten used to them, and prefer smaller knives, just as long as they're slijpoints. The average length of the slipjoints I carry, most have a main blade of about 3". Other than that, I usually carry either my Ritter Griptilian or Spyderco Manix II, with blades of about 3.5". I might carry my Military or 710, maybe my Umnumzaan, with a slipjoint. If I don't have a large one hand opener, I usually have my Case Backpocket with me.
