I am not giving bad feedback to anyone, so I won't use names, just asking for advice. I started to email back and fourth last week about a trade. after 4 emails, I sent the guy my address and said I'd like to make the deal. I've waited 5 days now to hear back from him if he wants to make the trade, and to give me his address. In the meantime, another offer has been made on the knife I had for trade. I have not recieved a confirmation from the original guy, and I emailed him telling him I would like to back out if it's okay with him, due to not hearing back from him. I have waited 5 days, should I wait longer, or make the deal with the other guy?

BTW, I was trading way down on the first offer, and will be trading even on the current deal.

I would say first trader got cold feet, go with second since no confirmation in five days. If I don't pay within 5 minutes of a buy, I feel guilty.

Sellers or traders deserve as much.

Five days is plenty of time to respond. Make the deal with the second person. Also, I would be concerened with the original trade. If it took that person so long to respond initially, would you be comfortable sending your knife and hope the guy sends his trade?

He said that his internet goes in and out in the original email, but I sent him my address so he could send me his that night (when he knew he had internet). I expected a reply before 5 days. I'm going to go ahead with the new trade. Thanks guys.

If it was important to the guy, he would have found a way to contact you. I'm sure that someone else he knows has internet service that is reliable.

Why would you start a thread and ask a question you already know the answer to? :D

The second trade for sure.
