How long is to long?

bought a knife off ebay that required instapayment through paypal on 05/06/05. spoke with seller on sunday 05/07/05, he advised knife would ship on monday the 8th, a week has gone by, package was sent from oklahoma, didnt recieve last week and sent seller an email he hasnt responded to.

how long is an acceptable amount of time to wait for a USPS package? Also how long without an answer would you wait prior to freaking out?

darkest, I have had two problems with USPS Priority mail. Gene Ingram sent me knife and it took two weeks to get here, in which time I could have driven to Gene's and back seven times. Gene was starting to get worried.

The other incident involved me as the sender, and it took two weeks for the buyer to get his knife.

So my personal freak out threshhold would be somewhere past two weeks if shipped between parties in the CONUS.

My folks sent kit surface mail, to save money, from Sydney to Gaborone. Each parcel takes between 3 and 4 months. First to Perth via Kangaroo then by the next passing idiot on a canoe intime to catch the first elephant in Mozambique that, through mine fields and poachers may reach us in a very different season.

Kit UPS from the States is expensive and 2-4 weeks.
