How many AFCKs have been sold????

O...kay. No e-mail, no location, no occupation, no interests. You feeling alright? Seriously, I bet that the forum moderators at Benchmade.Com would be able to supply you with an answer to your question. Now I kind of want to know too.

Reading between the lines Mercury???? Since you asked, I'm feeling fine :)

(IMHO I think Spielberg may be the best director. And the Wizard of Oz the most under-rated movie.)

Back to knives, I wonder if the AFCK is the best selling modern tactical of all time.

P.S. Nice site

I love the Wizard Of Oz... Aside from all it's fun and delight it really is a sharp and witty take on the current economic conditions of that time in Mid Western America. Midgets = Farmers.

I also think the AFCK has to be by far the top selling folding tactical of all time. You shoudl ask BM about that, demand some figures and we can make a chart or something;-)

Oh yeah: Benchmade Spike = Most Ripped-Off Modern Folder Design In History

If the AFCK isn't the most popular modern tactical knife, it sure deserves to be. I have had three and I love that knife!

Benchmade does not, as a matter of policy, release production statistics. But, I think it's safe to say that today's Benchmade is the company built on the AFCK. My guess would be that the Emerson CQC7 would be #2.

I agree the AFCK is probably the top selling folding tactical of all time. If not, what is?

I dont know if they're considered very tactical, but the Delica and/or Endura would probably have sold more.

I can't figure this one out.
I know that it's incredibly popular, but I've NEVER run into anyone else who carries one!
(My wife carries a mini, but other than her, nada!)

I cut it, and I cut it, and it's STILL too short!

I think of most of the Spyderco line as "Modern" folders, not "Tactical" in nature. The AFCK, in my opinion, is a knife that walks the line between the two ("Modern" and "Tactical"), and it's hard to make the distinction. I think the Endura and Delica knives are pretty cool, but their lines and design lend less to fighting, and more to utility. There is no doubt in my mind the AFCK can function as a very fuctional fighting knife. The Police is the same way, to a degree. I am holding a G-10 Police right now; It still seems to be a utility folder above all else. If the notion that the Police don't use knives for combat, then this distinction would fit pretty well, right?

The Endura and Delica are probably the best selling modern folders EVER, but the AFCK has to be, even above the CQC7, the best selling tactical folder of all time.
