Simple question. How many axes and hatchets do you own? No tomahawks. No products you're selling in your store. Just yours. Photos are more than welcome

Do heads alone count or do they have to be hung?

I'd guess I have somewhere in the 20's hung and another dozen or so laying around as heads only.

just a few weeks ago the answer would have been three.
Now I'm not counting two of those that are probably destined for recycling.

hmm...
1,2,3,4,5,6,7.... and another on the way.
Except for the bearded tomahatchet I want to have made, surely that's enough!

In no order, off the top of my head:

1. Cold Steel Trail Boss.
2. Razorback Boy's Axe.
3. Tru Temper Boy's Axe.
4. Central Forge (Harbor Freight brand) hatchet with fiberglass handle.
5. Another of the Central Forge fiberglass.
6. Same, but the older model.
7. Razorback 3-1/2 pound Michigan axe with fiberglass handle.
8. Tru Temper Michigan axe.
9. Unbranded Japan-made hatchet with full tang, rubber grip.
10. WalMart $9 camp hatchet.
11. Condor Greenland Pattern Hatchet.
12. Marble's Camp Axe.
13. Plumb shingling hatchet with fiberglass handle.
14. Oxhead hatchet.
15. Unbranded Hudson Bay axe.
16. Ames 3-1/2 pound double-bit Michigan axe.
17. Razorback 6-pound maul, fiberglass handle.
18. Fiskars splitting axe.
19. Ames 10" camp hatchet.

I'll have to look for more.

Hung only ;)

OK, you coerced me into taking a count. 20 hung and 15 Ladies-in-Waiting. Coulda missed a couple strays. I have a feeling that a bunch of guys here got more.

Operator? Double Ott? Frank? Coop?

Edit: Found a few more, 4 more hung and one un-hung. So I'm at 24 hung and 16 ladies in waiting. Might still be a few more around here.

It varies, they come and they go. Two Snow & Nealey, One Rixford, 5 unknown as of yet.

I'm running in the low thirties at the moment. Now that these are all fully hung examples, I suppose I could bring out some unfinished deals to start working on

True Temper - single bit ax - woodcutting US02
True Temper - hatchet - woodcutting US04
True Temper - hatchet - Tomahawk
double bit ax
carpenters hatchet - 21oz
chinese hybrid hatchet, hammer, pry bar (maybe a chinese laborers multitool) swordfish brand
To be added - splitting maul

Fiskars pro chopping axe
Wetterlings large hunter
Wetterlings small hunter
Plumb hatchet

That is all ... for now :D

Roughly; 120+ hung, 60+ ladies in waiting.
Yes I have a major problem. I keep thinking that I should start selling a few of them off????

I've been concentrating on collecting Kelly only for awhile.

Double Ott

Seems like 65 hung (or mostly there) + 46 waiting, and that's counting the wife's Valentine's Day gift from a couple years back. It's in the household, so I can count it, right? Plus at least three coming in the mail... Somehow expected more. That's probably a good thing though.

Wetterlings SFA
GB Cruiser Double bit
Wetterlings small hatchet
Plumb Forest Service double bit (needs hafted)
Craftsman single bit
2 unmarked double bits (need hafts)
