  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

There is a family thread, you know.

New to Beckers, so only two, an 11 & a 13.
Trying to decide on the next one; BK2 is in the lead at the moment.

Because I'm a prepper, and always spreading money to fill gaps and upgrade abilities, I don't collect, I buy what I can use with little redundancy. I have (currently) a BK2, BK9, and BK11. Gave away my 14.

This prepper below is just the opposite. He is a a major fan of Redundancy. I bet he has over 50 knives:D

There is Value in Redundancy. A common saying of SurvivalBlog readers is: "Two is one, and one is none." You must be prepared to provide for your family in a protracted period of societal disruption. That means storing up all of the essential "beans, bullets, and Band-Aids" in quantity. If commerce is disrupted by a disaster, at least in the short term you will only have your own logistics to fall back on. The more that you have stored, the more that you will have available for barter and charity. Just as important as redundancy are the attributes of versatility and flexibility. A Rawlesian survivalist likely owns as many as four vehicles: One powered by gasoline, one diesel, one propane, and one that is electric. The same individual probably owns a tri-fuel backup power generator that can run on gasoline, propane, or utility natural gas.

Good lord, the pricing on the Brute is wayyyyyyyyyy more than I would have expected. I could probably pick up 2 x 77s for that price...

I have a BK2 and my new favorite, BK10. The 11, 7 and 9 are on the waiting list with a tweener or two and a machax in the back of my mind. The machax is really growing on me!
