How many Bladeforums members does it take to change a light bulb?

What an illuminating thread! ROFLMAO! (Danelle, did you write the original list or did you "adapt" it from another source?)

Back to light bulbs...here are a few other issues that I believe need to be addressed:

1. We'll have to discuss whether there's any play in the threads and exactly how much play is acceptable?
2. Does a clear finish show scratches more than a frosted finish?
3. Should we actually turn on the bulb and use it or just leave it in the safe as an investment?
4. Can we get a production bulb from Wal-Mart that's almost as good as a custom bulb from a glassblower?
5. Do I need a Gold membership to sell some of my light bulbs here?
6. What light bulb are you burning RIGHT NOW?
7. The maker's mark has been rubbed off. Could Bernard Levine identify this light bulb?
8. What's the biggest light bulb you can own in your county? How's that measured?
9. Can I take a light bulb on an airplane or will it have to be checked in my luggage?
10. Why is it so difficult to get left-hand threads on a light bulb?
11. Can you make a light bulb burn bright enough to melt the hair on your arm?
12. Should the socket for my light bulb be made from leather or from Kydex?
13. OK, now let's do a SPINE-WHACK test on this light bul............OOPS! :( :( :(

Light bulbs???...We don' need no stinkin' LIGHT BULBS!!.:D.:D.

Don't forget the troll who will tell us that: "Only faggots use light bulbs anyway."

Muahahah...Light bulbs ARE gay...

If only Surefire would make a household light...just one light bulb in the centre of the house to light the whole house...or maybe a couple of luxeon stars around the house...

Let's not forget that Australian light bulbs attach to the fitting in a completely different way than those inferior American ones and therefore those imperialistic yankees shouldn't be trying to force their poxy system on everyone else.

Do you need a permit to carry a concealed light bulb?

That´s what happens when you buy those cheap lightbulbs from the Orient (Personnaly I buy good Mexican lightbulbs).

Don't forget the thread on "Worst cuts you've received while changing a light bulb - Show us your pics!"

4-5 people will have to debate EDC bulb rotation. And where to carry it in your pants so that it doesn't weigh them down.

I saw it elsewhere, pertaining to a different demographic, but it easily works with any online group. I thought it was hilarious and knew you guys would have fun with it.

The burnt out light bulbs should be preserved for posterity. A hundred years from now there will be many museum scouring the globe in search for authentic examples of these rare relics.

10 to start a lightbulb passaround, with a lottery at the end, if the bulb hasn't burnt out yet.

And in the Political Forum...

7 to point out that John Kerry never changed a lightbulb in Viet Nam.

4 to counter that George W Bush used his lightbulb to freebase crack while AWOL from his National Guard service.

Where can I get a drone lightbulb to train with? And does Bram Frank have training DVD's for changing lightbulbs?

Acolyte.

Killer thread Danelle...

How many Psychiatrists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Just one.

Or we could start a "Light Bulb Forum" since this subject has generated so much interest!

Thank you, Danelle and thank you, Phil.

I'll add two:
24 members to post about how Bill Clinton/ Hillary Clinton/ John Kerry screwed up the whold lightbulb business, single-handedly.

2 members to post how George w. Bush screwed up the whole lightbulb business, single-handedly.

:D

The newbie post:

Howdy folks,

I´m new to lightbulbs and can use the help of the experts here.

I recently changed a lightbulb that belonged to the grandfather of a friend of mine, it´s frosted white with the marking "60W" and a logo with stylish letters "GE". I have looked all over and found no information on it, did a search on ebay but got not even similar items. I would like to know how old it is and its value.

The ebay post:

You are bidding for an old but in good shape 60 Watt General Electric light bulb, it has been used and does not light but otherwise is in good condition, there are no chips or cracks in the glass, some light rust on the threads from use which can be cleaned easily, I am selling it on behalf of a friend and am no expert so I can not tell much about it, this will make a great addition to any collection.
