how many blades do u carry?

I read an article by, I beleive Massoud Abboud, not sure of that spelling! He is LEO and was talking about the apperence of the the knife. He pointed out that the less tactical it looked the simpler it is to defend in court. By that logic we should all call the pink grip from BM. It looks the least scary to Mrs. Smith when she's on jury duty!

I usually only carry one.
But the other night when the wife and I went out to have a few drinks and get into some semi-drunken debauchery I felt like carrying three. One in my boot. One in my waistband to the left and the one (That I made it a point to make noticeable) in my right pocket.

Sometimes I feel like a nut. Sometimes I don't.

I carry 3 pieces, but only 1 can be considered a serious knife. My beater is Benchmade H&K Ally, which can be argued as sort of a rescue knife due to its glass breaker tip. The second is Victorinox Bantam alox, used exclusively on food. The third is Leatherman Squirt P4 as the bare minimum multitool with pliers.

The primary reason for this setup is weight and flexibility. I wear slacks at work, so my gear has to be light and thin so they don't make my pocket sag and bulge out. Benchmade Ally is 3 oz, Vic Bantam is 1 oz, and LM Squirt is 2 oz. So I'm getting a lot of functionality (and hygiene due to separate food knife) for 6 oz. It's flexible because I can choose to carry any combination of the 3 depending on the situation. Going outdoor or visiting the factory floor? Carry all 3. Going to a dressier place? Leave the Ally in the car. Going to knife-hostile place? Leave the Ally and the Bantam; LM Squirt is approximately the same size as my USB key and is actually marketed as keychain tool, so I don't think it will cause me problem anywhere (except in airports or courthouses).

For outdoor weekend excursions, I just carry my LM Wave. :)

I generally carry two knives on me at a time. My old stand-bys have been a benchmade tanto, and a leatherman. Over the last few months I've been carrying a Cold Steel American Lawman on my main hand and a Benchmade Rukus for the off-hand mainly bc it's easier to open w/ my left hand.
As far as california law is concerned I have found them to be ambiguous. There isn't really a length limit for folders, but they need to stay open when they're open and stay closed when they're closed. Fixed blades are only permitted if they fit the context of the situation (i.e. camping, hiking, etc.). The machete will have to wait at home while you go to the grocery store.

Including multi-tools, pocket and neck knives usually six cutting tools. Having a CCW I also carry other tools as needed. I like to utilize the full potential of my CCW. Sometimes it requires suspenders:D.

Different jurisdictions have different laws. You are not allowed to carry a knife at all in some, others limit the type of knife you may carry. But to the best of my knowledge, if knife carry is legal where you are then the only law that limits the number of knives you can carry is the law of gravity

I carry at least 2. One for hard use, one kept razor sharp for light cutting and usually at least one high-end 'eye candy' just to have something really nice with me.

Hmmm. Today had 15 knives on me. I seen a guy yesterday with 9 knives on his belt. usually my own EDC of the day. and my kershaw
