That's m' boy!
Now the way I remember it, his momma wanted him to have a class ring, but I figured a high school class ring wouldn't have much value/importance after he started college, so I told him for about the same money, he could get one of these as a class knife (Steel Heart II or Battle Mistress), he choose SH II.
By the way, my youngest son, Seth, choose the straight-handled badger as his class knife. (He got to pick his 'favorite' out of fifteen badgers I received). See, life is good when your daddy is 'The BUSSE Guy'.
Enough bragging about my boys for now, time to go back to bragging about me. Since last I posted here, I have become the proud owner of what Jerry tells me is one of the first three hundred straight-handled Battle Mistresses, and a (34") thirty-four inch piece of INFI, sharp on one side, with a handle on one end, BAD!!! all-the-way-around, that my wife refers to as the Big Bad Busse, and I just call 'that Bad Boy' - (which is one of the names my wife calls me..., by the way, so did my momma).
Enough for now, back to sorting my pile of knives. They all long to be touched every day. It isn't easy, but somebody's got to do it. My children volunteer, and often offer to take them home when I'm going on long trips.
Fingers are tired.
Must stop typing.
Must touch BUSSEs.
