How many carry a stainless "Cricket"?

I usually carry two knives. Larger knife clipped to my right pocket and smaller knife clipped to my left pocket. It just so happens that the larger knife has been a titanium Salsa with 50/50 blade. (I figure the half serrated blade will cut a stuck seatbelt really fast. Plus, I love it!)
But the smaller knife has really impressed me. I've been carrying and using my stainless "Cricket" with SV-30 blade for months~~and I haven't had to sharpen it even once. I formally had a "Toad" on the left. I even purchased an extra Toad because I was afraid they'ed be discontinued. I have to say that the stainless Cricket is one fine little knife! I'll probably get another one at the big gun show next month. (And, maybe a "Mouse" too!) Spydercos are fine, FINE knives. Even my wife likes Spyderco knives. Thus, we have quite a few.

My secondary small-knife is also a SS Cricket. It's a great knife! My wife also carries one. :)

Ours are VG-10. How did you get one with S30V?

You don't need 50/50 on the Salsa. It's damn sharp enough by itself.
As to the SS Cricket. I don't have one, but I've seen one, and it's neat

Love my SS Cricket.
It travels with me quite often.
And, yes, it often rides with a larger knife.
Enjoy ...

Kentucky Rifle,

I'll be at the show in Louisville next month (and Lexington this weekend) - will have SS Crickets with or without neck sheaths, as well as a Mouse or two. Stop by and say "Hi".

KR,
I have a SS cricket SE on my keychain. My work carry is a PE Ti Salsa. A very nice combo.

I always carry my SS Cricket PE for home and non-work carry. (For non-work, I carry it along with my Military CE.) It's a great little Spydie that I consider to almost be as stout as a fixed blade when the integral linerlock is engaged. :D

Haven't heard of it being made with S30V steel, though. According to the 2003 catalog, the SS Cricket steel is VG-10.

I am somewhat of a cricket fan, having both SS configurations, FRN, & Carbon fiber. I usually carry it as my office EDC. I have never heard a negative comment yet from my workmates. The SS is the best culmination of crickethood yet!

My girlfriend just got herself an SS Cricket and carries it as her EDC or with her 50/50 Salsa. I'm a big fan of the Cricket and pleased my partner is going the same way.

She has signed upto BladeForums, but so far doesn't seem to have got round to introducing herself... ;)

If Cricket have been made in S30V My Ronin is made of Adamantium. ;)

Please use your knife hard and keep them well and you will see both steel are outstanding.

I was eying the SS Cricket, very vice looking. What is that "hook" used for? Looks mean. How does that "S" curve cut?

Holy Crap, it's Mr. Perrin! I had to post here so I could be in a thread with you. It's an honor :) You should post more often :D

Hi Fred. Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

Glad to have you visit. You are often a topic of conversation here. Your conclusions are always well thought out and your input is always valuable.

Can you show us the modification you made to your Cricket with the holes?

What kind of an office do you work in (Information Services, law, medical), and what have your colleagues said about the Cricket that was positive?
