One plain small Sebenza in my pocket and a decorated Umfaan on order.

Has anyone had a small Sebenza refit with dual lugs for left/right use?

Thanks James.

I own a small Sebenza and A Shadow IV and I'm getting ready to purchase a large Sebenza.
Correction It's a Shadow III 4" blade with a pancake holster.

One decorated (mint) old style large Seb, one small Mountaineer, one new style plain large Sebenza, one Project II.

one zig zag umfaan, one wood inlayed large sebenza, and one plain large. I also know where to get a 25th guild anniversery edition! Don't know what number it is however

25 Guild Anniversary Sebenza: I've never heard of this, what is it? Is there a pic somewhere?

Zig-Zag Umfaan
small Sebenza plain
large Sebenza plain

All I could afford is one of each size of the folders, but love the 3 I have, and carry all 3 daily. The small and the large are carried in the nice good looking handy leather sheaths made by our own Gary Graley.
The Umfaan is carried in its slip sheath in my right front pocket for now, but am thinking of having Gary make a matching sheath for it if he hurries and gets a Umfaan of his own so I don't have to send mine, and possibly loose it is the mail. How awful a thought.
Being a retired person, and collector, I spread my small pension around on other brands too, which I know is a bad thing to say here, but it is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Sorry!!Now I have given myself a guilty complex.

this has been a benificial thread. you see ive felt a bit guilty about ordering a wood inlay (2000 model, large, ive got some waiting to do)

...but after reading this, people with multiple sebenzas? either i am clearly in need of a lotto win (is that the secret stjames?) or these are worth the cash and then some.

floyd, how you like the wood inlay? good choice?

see guys, i figure i can only afford one, so i tried to pick a nifty one...

One less!

That's right, I sold the Tanto. It did not 100% float my boat and thrill me to the bone, and that is the point, after all.

Now, what to do until I find the next one I like...

BTW, I did not win the Lotto. I have been unable to take any time off, my wife forbade flying lessons or a motorcycle, so I get to buy any knife I want. A man has got to have something of his own.

For everyone's information and to answer Jackyl's question a bit further back, the numbers marked inside the handles of the Sebenzas are in-house batching references. They have nothing specific to do with when the knife was made or anything like that.

Just the one. Large plain right hander.
I am looking at a Project 1 vs a Shadow IV.
Any comments on those would be nice.

I have two large plain Sebenza's. I believe if you find something really great, what's better than one? TWO! I also see a small Sebenza in the very near future.

Zero here as well. Looking to try a Project I in the future

Glad to see the Chris Reeve Forum over here

My collection was recently reduced, money being the object and I had too many? is that really a reason?

2 large new Style Sebenzas, love em' on is in the works of being involved in a trade, I'll know more come Tuesday.

1 small new Style Sebenza, very very handy knife size.

Retired my old Style Large Sebenza into the cabable hands of our St James, as he has a Quest and I know it'll be in very good company. That's the knife that is shown on my web page.

Still want to get an Umfaan, so I can at least help out LarryLuana...that's a good reason, right?

I don't have a solution,

But I admire your problem.

Gary!
I fully agree with you.My Umfaan needs a G-2 matching sheath to go with the small, and large benzas.
Sooooooo, someone give Gary a good deal on an Umfaan so I don't have to send mine to him, and have sleepless nights til I get it back.
Plus there is the possibility that it might take a wrong turn right into Gary's pocket, and then I have to find another one.
Only kidding Gary, OF COURSE.
Don't get me wrong, the CR slip sheaths are nice, but for that extra added touch, it nice to have an exquisite sheath to store it in.

Larry

I have one small, Sebenza and the Mountaineer 1. I plan on buying the Umfaan later.
IMHO CRK's are the best knives around for the money. They are meant to be used and do an excellent job!! You just can't go wrong buying one of their knives.
