How Many Do You Carry?

I used to carry between 7-9 while workin as a mechanic, millwright, machinist ect..., 1 fixed blade, several lockers and a few slippies.

FF to today, typically 1 Tactical Locker, 1 Fixed blade, 1 small locker and 1 slippie.

I consider my SAK Super Tinker almost a vital organ, so it goes where I go.
That along with some other kind of folder, mostly Kershaw or a Sebbie

I always have a Vic classic on one key ring and a Micra on another.
If I am at work, I have a tiny 2" blade in my back pocket (work regulation on knife size).
If I am not at work I have either a traditional in my front pocket or a locking blade in my back pocket. (uh, truth be told, sometimes I have both.:o)

On my person, most of the time two usually something very small and something medium.

If I am outside working or camping, something sodbuster size or a 4.5 to 5 inch fixed blade.

I carry several knives in my laptop bag including an SAK camper. I have a lock-back made especially for me by a good friend that is always in my back right pocket.

Interesting what people do. I guess I am pretty normal compaired to others on this lst. I normally have 3 but have had as many as 6 or 7. No real reason. Just because I have them and I can. Normally have a SAK Classic SD on my keyring. A SAK Huntsman in my right front pocket. And a slippy of some sort in my watch pocket. Depending on the size of the slippy, it might switch with the SAK Huntsman. And a lot of times I have a locking blade clipped to my front pocket. I sometimes have a Buck 110 in a pocket, or on my belt. It is hard to choose just a few to carry.

Usually a small fixed blade (BRKT Mikro Canuckian or BM Snody Activator) and a Kershaw double cross for my pockets. Leatherman Wave and Kershaw Leek in the backpack if I have it.

Usually 2 and a multitool.
A slipjoint (Barlow or med Stockman or Peanut or mini Trapper) in front right pocket and then a locking blade clipped to rfp usually a Delica, small Griptillian or Para or a small Classic Sebbie.
Multitool usally my Blast.

Usually 3 or 4.

Lately I usually carry a Vic Classic on the key ring, a Gerber Clutch small multitool in the left pocket and a slippie in the right pocket.

Sometimes on the weekend, I replace the slippie with a locker like a Boker Trance or a Kershaw Leek (clipped in the pocket), and add a Baby Butterbean in the watch pocket of my Levis.

Since getting back into slippies, I am never without one!

My usual is one slippy in my right pocket(Case CV Trapper this week), but here lately I have had two or more. I started carrying my 110 on my belt and I just got a new Case CV Sodbuster so I have to throw that in a pocket as well. That makes three and that is how many I have on my person today. Four is my normal max, I can't really carry more than that as I start running out of pocket spcae. I have had more than that with me at one time though.

I carry my multi tool, a small case stockman and usually a Jack. Mainly for my own pleasure rather than necessity. So 3 at least, sometimes 4 if I am carrying a real littlun.

All of the time one(pocket knife) some time two(fixed blade on my hip) only when hunting or camping I carry three(multi tool in my pack). mostly all buck knifes. But I have be known to carry other brands.

To answer a question with a question, what good is a pocket without a pocketknife or two in it? ;)

I don't recall ever carrying more than twenty at a time. :D

Today I'm carrying a SAK Bantam and a Case Baby Doc. It's good to have a cheap knife on hand in case someone needs to borrow one and then uses it as a pry bar.

 Someone did that recently to my SAK climber...yeah it was cheap, but i'd only had it less than 24 hrs, after they'd finished the screwdriver didnt go back in flush, and the small blade had a twist in it half way up that was irrepairable

I carry two, usually a nice folder, and my SAK.

I carry a SAK tinker in my bag and an antique slippie in my pocket at the moment - by Abram Brooksbank, made in Sheffield, 1910.

:)

1 folder normally I.e; 95% of the time... Or like lately, its been 2 since on is a 5" folding hunter, and too big for any time i find a need to cut in sheeple country.. And my Vic Spirit, but I don't count it 'cause the knife on it is almost useless..

At other times, if i am testing or comparing for an article, then I can have 4 or 5 with me, but thats a special occasion, never verry often(twice a year maybe...).

I don't bother with carrying a sheath knife anymore, although there is one in ever vehicle in case its needed..

I carry a SAK Rucksack and minimag lite on my side, Spyderco Native clipped in my pocket, small 1 blade 1 bottle opener SAK and Micro mag lite on a chain around my neck, Small SAK on my keychain, and 1 or 2 fixed blades in my bag that I carry in my truck. So on my body I have at least 3 on me all ways.

Two or three usually on my person. An SAK Executive under my wallet on the left front, a jackknife on the right front or in the right back, and sometimes one in both of them. Usually a couple others in my work bag, but those are what I usually carry around w/me. A multitool resides in my desk drawer at work.

Three. Sometimes four. A tiny fixed blade Buck Smidgen is on my key chain, a slipjoint , and either a 3-4 inch fixed on my belt or a large lockback.

Often I'll toss my Vic Hiker in a pocket as well.
