How many do you own?

I was "inventorying" my knives the other day (just an excuse to play with them, really) and I realized that I have 17 HI products ranging from a 6" Kagas Katne to a 30" Sirupati. I have a lot of the knives (sarge, jkm, kumar karda, ak bowie, etc) and my collection is a little lacking in big choppers (no 20" ak or 22" grs). I realize its not a lot compared to some folks but I was surprised that I had collected that many.

The only down side is that I have about 50 knives in total, and I wish I had more HI's and less miscellaneous stuff that I just picked up. Probably a good reason to get a gold membership and sell off the other stuff to buy more khuks.

I think my first one, the 18" WWII is still my favorite, at least its the one that I use when I need to do a little chopping.

I only have 10 or so, and I pruned my HI collection heavily this year.
My fave is the YCS, followed by the UBE and Movie Model. And the M43... Okay they are all my favorite.
 
I think at last count I had 25 HI products. That's not including the dozen or so I have given away as gifts to friends and family. Really, the rest of my stash is pretty small compared to my HI stuff. Probably 12 SAKs, 4 or 5 multi-tools, a few 'hawks, about 6 or 8 folders, Finally a mix of fixed blades from ka-bars to cold steel trailmasters. I'd say my collect is close to 80 knives, axes, and swords. Not huge, but bigger than i thought;)

I've got 5kuks (used to be 6, but 1 was stollen). Western bowie, kbar, skinner, several folders & swiss army. (Also had dive knife, kbar, buck, and a few others stollen, along with one of my kuks). All in all, not too many, maybe a dozen or so, but plans for more are in the works.

I don't have a clue as to the amount I have all together anymore, stupid of me.:rolleyes: :eek: :o
There are 17 assorted khukuris and knives around my computer desk that run the gamut from the full sized original Foxy Folly to a real nice stag Linder-Messer trailing point skinner with a 5" blade along with a Manjushree Sword.:cool:
I used to have a complete list of all my knives but it is so outdated now as to be useless so I'm not going to comment anymore about what I have or don't have until I update my list.;) :D
 
I don't know. Around 12 or 14 I think. Well, some of them have come and gone. Maybe 16?

I updated my list as an excuse to play with my knives and drink beer. ;)
 
Not sure. Need to do a formal inventory and drink beer.. :D . My last mental count was 20 HI blades of which three are knives. My first HI khukuri was from Uncle Bill last winter...a 17 or 18" Gelbu Special by Amtrack.

Notably missing from my collection are: Chiruwa AK, Chitlangi, WWII and a really big Sirupate. Given the new models that are being seen here lately, there is plenty more collecting for me to do. I have many other non-HI knives around the house and wonder now why I ever bothered with them.

I may need to get a large locking cabinet for all these blades at some point. ;)

I currently have 12 HI products in my inventory. I keep them up in my bedroom closet.

Did i say 25? I meant 2 OR 5. i can never remember how many of those silly knives i have...too many, i say;) I'm always too busy thinking about how beautiful my wife to be is.

I've got too many.

I've traded one khuk and sold another. In both cases, I'm quite sure that they found their rightful owners - I'd just been holding on to them temporarily.

Probably close to 50 since I culled the herd a few months ago.
 
Just 4. A BAS, 22 inch GRS, 18 inch Chiruwa AK, and an 18 inch Malla. I think I need a WW2. I don't want it, really. But I think I need it... :D :cool:
 
I just counted and couldn't believe it.
I have 10, and gave one away to a friend. This doesn't include other blades.
I don't know why I keep thinking that I "need" a light wooden handled BAS (I already have a nice one by Amtrak) or that I "need" a nice, light wooden handled 15" AK.
I sure don't "need" the knives, and so why do I think that I do?
