How many have left you (lost/stolen)?

Hrmm... counting cheapies? Definately over 50. I think mostly to my grandmother who didn't believe I needed a knife with a blade over about 3" long, God bless her. :D

I lost a kershaw (who knows where I lost it ?) was one of my favorite knives; nothing special, was a gift and was my favorite knife of all times.

I lost a puma folder and found it 5 years later while moveing furniture before painting a room.

Stolen = Al Mar SERE (mini) white micarta scales (one month ago   )
Any chance.... it would show up on eBay??

When I was younger I helped my sister move into college. After unpacking her I set my old Italian swing guard auto on the bumper of my truck. 60 miles later (Kent to Boardman) I was looking for it, oddly enough it was sitting on my bumper right where I set it. Felt lucky not to lose that one!

last year i lost my favorite knife.
if i still had it, it would probably still be my favorite,
as un-fancy as it was.

it was an older model crkt mil-hre 1* model.
2.6" blade ti-ni coated, spear point, combo edge, alu scales, linerlock, (edit* so it was ATS-34, no wonder it stayed so sharp!).

i bought it at a knife shop in woodstock vermont,
3 years before i lost it.
and it was my favorite knife for 3 years.
it shaved out of the box.
and the geometry was perfect for sticking things.
i could even throw it.

while writing this post i looked it up and found out it is called the apache.
damn i miss that knife..

only once, in a shipment from england to central coast california (im in cali). just never showed up, tried sending two other letters, first one never showed, second one came through.

at that point i just figured if i asked for my knife back, it would get lost too, so everyone would be in a bad situation....

650$ lesson :(

Lost a small Case folder. It fell out of my pocket. Not trusting my pockets, started carrying a stainless steel Spyderco clipped IWB above right back pocket. That fell off somewhere.

Now I'm back to using my pockets.

Lost my Spyderco Endura twice on my 6 acres of Texas Hill Country while mowing or cutting firewood or whatever. Just hooked it off my front pocket somehow. Took over a year to find it the first time. Second time about a month. Plastic is a little duller and there are spots on the blade but it is still one of my EDCs.
I find a lot more knives than I lose. Somehow every moron who 'adventures' on the Guadalupe has to carry a knife (or something else they should have left at home with their brain) and ends up losing them in one rough spot or another. I've found quite a few including a stag handled Puma 'White Hunter'. That was a sweet and easy $200 from some other rafter who saw me surface with it. He wanted it 9 kinds of bad. I wish I had kept that one, but I got greedy. :(

I lost/got stolen things through my X-gf who passed those, including knives, to cops saying she was "scared" of those.

Lost two Delicas. One I sent to Spyderco thinking they could change the blade for me. They never received it. Put a tracer in the USPS but nothing ever came of it.

Other one, with the plastic#%@& clip slipped out of my pocket at a party I'm sure. No one found it, according to the cleanup crew the next day.

Sure.

Had two stolen. First was a drop point hunter in SS ladder damascus with mokume scales and paper micarta scales. The second was stolen at the OKCA show in 03, a # 5 folder with a damascus blade, mokume bolsters and MOP scales.

My biggest lost knife was probally an original WWII Fab/Sykes dagger...lost it at the NY Ren Fair (used to do the whole costume deal) Had it in a ankle sheath and must have fallen out while walking around....Lost a few folders (although they occasionally re-appear...;o) ) Fortuneately none stolen!

I lost a brand new (2 days old)Victorinox knife with pliers, when taking the family to the zoo & the kid's stroller wouldn't open, used the pliers to open it & walked about 50 feet when I realized I didn't have my knife. retraced my steps, but never found it.

Second knife was a Spyderco ProGrip (2 weeks old) took on rafting trip, who knows when it abandoned ship?
