So as I got excited texts from one of my coworkers who took delivery on a BK9 this weekend, I found myself trying to tally up how many people I've help turn into "knife people."

I've got 3 guys at work who've purchased Beckers after seeing mine. One guy (who has since turned into a knife collector in his own right, though he'd never owned a knife before meeting me) has a BK16 with a Sagewood sheath, and a BK2. Two more guys who have purchased BK9s. Another guy, though though he hasn't bought any Beckers yet, has bought a couple nice folders. There's a couple more people who I've persuaded into carrying folders as well. I think if I tallied it up, I'm probably indirectly responsible for about $2000-$2500 in knife purchases from people who had never owned anything other than kitchen knives.

It's a modest start, but I like to think I'm getting somewhere :D

So how many have you brought over to the "dark side?"

Only my brother in law so far. But he is absolutely spastic over the 15 I gave him. I'm going to gift a 16 to my brother at Christmas (shhh, don't tell him, it's a surprise) and I'm sure he'll love it. Everyone else I know is sheeple.. ooh.. except my wife. She loves her 5..

Let's see:

My mom has her own 17 and 14
My sister has her own 14
My brother has 2x 11's and 2x 14s and a 7
My best friend has an 11, 14, 16
My former best friend has an 11 and 14
4 other buddies have their own 11s, and 15s

My mom, sister, brother, aunt, other aunt, uncle, other uncle, best friend, my best friend's sister in law, my best friend's mother in law and grandmother in law, and 2 other friends all have their own Becker Kitchen Knives.

Various other Ka-Bars and Swag have also been given and distributed...

C bear wins. Because he got an old lady to want and have a Becker.. So when does he take possession of his new prize, the Reinhardt Kukri?

Oh and just so you are aware, your rank amongst Cbears friend ladder is directly proportional to the amount of Becker knives you have accumulated.. I rank in at the best friend he's ever had ever.. except for Bladite..

Plenty, I used all the $7 BK14s to bring outsiders into the fold. I've gifted a lot, talked to more. This is sounding too braggy. Honestly, the exact number is lost to me. My soon to be ex was a Becker fan made by me, but was further driven to BK&T love at the number of Gatherings she attended.

We almost need BK&T business cards with a bladeforums link on them to hand out.

I already got a RBK. I'd rather keep mine and let that one out on the world to convince others of the cro-van goodness!

I forgot "Grandma" also has her own Izula and 11.

Murph is totally right, we need Ka-Bar/ BK&T business cards with the link to here.

I coined the phrase "You need a BK9. You can't not have a 9." That line alone has been responsible for between 0 and 100% of all Bk9 sales ever.

I wish I knew.....but it's probably close to zero. Made (and bought) plenty of kitchen knives for family and friends, but.....I think I am more trying to not freak out friends with the large collection of very large knives I do have. Although I was showing a friend (and letting him use) my Machax about a month ago, and he was asking some questions, so......maybe one, then. It's not for lack of trying, though.

3 going on 5. I really didn't do anything with those 3, the Beckers sold themselves as soon as they were held.

Person to person, none. But many times, after posting photos of this and that, many have said that I've cost them money. Who knows?

I gave one of the nephews a Machax for Christmas this year. He likes it so much, he hasn't put it down yet.
