How many here have forgotten to carry their EDC?

I have only done it a couple times since becoming a Knut but when I did, I grabbed my right hip pocket in a panic when I realized it wasn't there then I got pissed at myself. I actually pouted about it! And I went home from work and got the EDC when that happened. I would have dwelled on it all day otherwise. That is exactly why I started carrying a yellow Mini Grip in my portable BOB. That way I always had a backup in my truck or in my office. My portable BOB is more like a small briefcase in size so it's with me everywhere I go.

Yes indeed, being a Knut is not just about practicality, it's a bona fide addiction too . . .

Nope never forgot, remember the knife but not myl meds
Had to spend a day in court. Once about went crazy leavin it in the car

YOU WHAT:eek: You should be ashamed of your self :D

One time I forgot my knife at my house and I needed it once I got to work :grumpy: but it was ok because my job is mobile, so I went back home and grabbed two.:p

Not usually. But I put my knives on top of my wallet when I unload my pockets at the end of the day. That way, when I have to physically move something to get to my wallet, my brain says "hey you might need that."

This little trick is the ONLY way I can make it out the door with my shopping list.

I almost never forget my EDC, when I do I always
have two folders in my car. Same with my watch,
I cant stand not having a watch so I keep two watches
in my glove box.

I can't leave home without a knife. I have one on my key ring.

Forgotten it once, but never again. Feels like something is missing. Constantly patting my pocket, checking to see if it happened to just slip deep into the pocket. Leaves a sense of insecurity and anxiety. I don't like it.

I am habitual in my routines like many of you and I can say that when I did forget my EDC it was because my routine had gotten off kilter that morning for one reason or another.

Most of the time though, I'm like clockwork in my morning routine designed so I don't forget things. I have always said, "if I were a deer, I'd be dead on opening morning" because any hunter worth his salt would know exactly where I'll be and when I'll be there . . .

I keep one in my wallet. That way no matter what I always have something with an edge.

i forgot my edc just last week :grumpy:,,left for work in a hurry and once on the the bus realized that i didnt have a blade on me ,,was too late bt then  ,,was really peeved off,,

I miss one once in a while, but I haven't gotten out of the house without at least one since boot camp.

I've forgotten to carry my knife plenty of times. One time was at my nephew's birthday party when several family members kept asking to cut things. They looked at me kind of strange when I told them I didn't have a knife. :o

I have a routine so I rarely forget to grab mine, but it does happen on occasion. My job doesn't require regular cutting activities, but on the day I do forget my knife, it always happens that I need one.

Makes me feel kinda funny all day, too.

I also do some substitute teaching and on those days knives are a definite no-no (even left in the car).

The wife and I did some travelling recently via airplane, during which time I felt naked not being able to pack my EDC for those few hours each way.

:grumpy:

True that. Whenever i take a trip via an airplane, i always feel naked when i reach my location since i know that my right coin pocket is empty...

I havent forgotten in a long time. I put my wallet, keys, watch, flashlight, MT, and knife in the same spot on top of my dresser every night. I dont travel so my ritual doesnt get outta whack and I dont have kids who can hide stuff from me. :D

I forgot to take my EDC to the living room once... sat down to watch a movie...and suddenly got the "naked" feeling.... icky.
