For size reference, I'm in the next lane of this highway sitting in my SUV.
 
Zero "HORSE" power - 1 "BUFFALO" power. I think the 'Buff has more torque!

Good one Zen'. He's a beaut'. Reminds me of the 9 1/2 foot Grizz' that stood up on me in the Yukon and the 5 ft. long legs of the giant Moose (that crossed my drivng pass, missed by maybe a foot @ 50 MPH) as I encroached my first entrance to Eielson AFB, AK. @ 0400 hrs. AWESOME! I miss it.

You are both right and wrong sir, 0 horse power, and 0 buffalo power. Is would have 1 bison power though:por 1.5 cnd bison power

I actually looked that up just to make sure of my facts, ours up herre seem to be a bit smaller though, but still real tasty:D
 
Those things are gigantus. I have been close to one, and its head was the size of a phone booth. Or so it seemed. Incredible.

Nice shot Zen. The highway patrol may need to check for registration and proof of Buffalo insurance. Buffalo herding on the highway is a priviledge, not a right.:p
 
The closest I've been to one was a calf at a local powwow. I forget the exact age, but it was as big as a cow. Less than a year.

Beautiful creature, and TASTY! ;)
 
When I was at Yellowstone nine years ago, there was an entire herd of buffalo blocking one of the roads. A line of cars had to wait patiently until they moved on.

Buffalo makes for some tasty steaks and burgers.
 
BTW People raise these around here.

Have Grilled these too. Tasty :D
 
Those things are enormous, I would suspect an animal of that size being so close would be a little intimidating.

On a side note that hairdo is soooooo 1984.:rolleyes:
