How many knives are in your EDC rotation

these are all rather large knives - do you work in an office and if yes are you comfortable edcing them?

I EDC the Strider HAK in my front pocket, and the Sebenza or the Large Rittergrip go IWB on my right hand side. With my business casual clothing, it doesn't print at all.

Yes, I work in an office, but everyone is cool. About 20% of the office carries a knife too.

When my officemates and I have to wear suits (which happens about once a month), then we go to our gentlemen's EDC's.

My gentlemen EDC's are a small regular Sebenza, or an ANSO damasteel drop-point.

George

I got 4 in my rotation that sometimes are carried a few together at a time.

Darrel Ralph Gunhammer
Small leather Sebbie
SNG
Buck 110

Always: One Small SAK (Tinker, Camper, Farmer, Soldier etc)
Business: Small-Med Lock Blade (Leek, Native, M16 etc)
Casual: Med-Lg Lock Blade (Spec Bump, BM Stryker, Vision, Pentgon etc)
As needed: MultiTool (Charge or Wave), Fixed Blade (Ka-bar impact series)
Shock value/humour: Very large folder (Ti-Lite VI, Pentagon II etc)

While I'm not a collector, I have lots of high quality, moderate cost stuff purchased over the years as something seemed innovative or cool for everyday use. The ones above are most of my EDC survivors. Never had but a few fail over the years but lost interest in many as something "better" came along.

While I have several I classify as "DO carry", what you would most likely find me EDC'ing would be:
1. Para
2. Dodo
3. Native

my rotation is as follows,

*spyderco Ti ATR PE, its been my fav for about a yr now. certainly my fav production knife.

*pat crawford perfigo - pat makes great stuff.

*emerson specwar CQC8 zero bevel grind, the ATR and my '8 get carried more than anything else right now.

*strider AR coyote brown grips/camo blade - i carry this one when hunting/etc.

thank you very much - one more question - how threatening does it look - would you be comfortable edcing in the office?

The Amphibian clip is small, and it rides relatively low. Very little of the knife shows when it's clipped in.

Open, I'd be cautious regarding where I waved it around - it won't be mistaken for a SAK. It's a large, aggressive blade.

I have no problem carrying it anywhere, but I'm careful how and when I use it - as I would be with any large tactical folder.

Here are my EDC's: Spyderco burgundy Calypso, Jr., Large Sebenza, RRF, Instigator,Buck/Mayo TNT, and Firetac.

Here is my EDC list and I usually rotate everyday.
1. Spyderco C05 standand PE
2. Spyderco Wegner Jr. PE
3. SOG Twitch II
4. Benchmade Mini Skirmish
5. Spyderco Caly ZDP
6. Spyderco Dragonfly
7. Spyderco R2 SE (Back-up knife)
8. Spyderco Ladybug II (on my keychain)

emerson cqc7b+wave (almost always)
benchmade mini afck (sometimes)
used to love my mini tsek until i gave it to my brother
occasionally rock the griptilian (rarely. too big for city carry)

this is the approach i took - i am not a collector. I am not going to buy anything so it would seat in a box or to complete collection - if i buy it it is for using/carrying

hmm, it seems that the knives in my edc rotation are more similar to each other than in yours. Is it for different uses or just because you like these particular knives?

Everyday...large regular LH Sebenza and a Benchmade 921.
At work...those two plus and Ontario RAT-3 on my duty belt.
I've sold off or traded most of my collection to buy more knifemaking materials, so that's pretty much it...I went from having about 40 to choose from to about 4.:(

When I go in the car I like to have a very sturdy folder such as my Snf or Manix. Otherwise my EDC rotation includes any number of knives and is part of the fun -- Ritter mini, KaBar Dozier folding hunter, paramillie, Salt, etc.

And if I'm going where knives are frowned upon it'll be the Kopa which couldn't look threatening to anyone (could it?) and meets Washington DC blade size restrictions.

Always have a SAK Tinker or Executive on key ring
Always have a Leatherman Wave on belt

Variously carry one or more of:

Spydie Para
Spydie Dodo
HK (Benchmade) Axis Lock
CRKT M-16

Steve

Most often- BM 705

"Dress" knife- William Henry carbon fiber Spearpoint

"Beater"- Emerson CQC7

Utility- Leatherman Crunch

When I'm not carrying a firearm- Microtech Lightfoot L.C.C. or CS Vaquero Grande along with one of the above.

RFP EDC rotation: Paramil/SE, Ti ATR/SE, Dodo/SE, Pacific Salt Black/SE, Big Calypso/SE, FRN Delica/SE. The past couple of days I've been carrying the FRN Endura/SE and the Subcom(Boker)

Always:

Keychain: LM squirt
Car keys: Spyderco SS Cricket/PE (soon to be SE:D )

In-the-office rotation:
Case jigged chestnut bone trapper CV (nice patina :D)
Spyderco Delica SS
Spyderco FRN Cricket
Schrade 8OT (very nice patina)
Case Copperlock
Benchmade 710 (rarely)

Out-of-the-office rotation:
Emerson CQC-10
Benchmade 710
Spyderco Police (full SE of course)
Spyderco Delica SS
Spyderco Flat Iron Folder (discontinued, but still going strong)
Case CV trapper
Okapi large locking folder (just added, so I'm still playing with it)
Opinel No. 10
Am I forgetting some? Probably.

I only carry one at a time, usually, so it takes just as long for me to pick my EDC as it does for me to pick my tie. :D (maybe I'll have to start matching the knife to the tie and just forget about the decision...)

Peace.
