17 Striders (1 is a Frontsite/Strider HAK), 8 Chris Reeve's, 3 Terzuolas, 2 Eddie Baca's, 1 Bud Nealy, and a few beaters that are floating around the garage somewhere.

These aren't up to date, but here are some pics of my 'accumulation', fixed blades and folders. Need to take a bayonet photo.

Note the Velveeta box of junkers in the top picture. Doesn't everyone have one of these?

Obviously I need to spend more time at the Knife Photography forum... :(

Let's see I got the AG Russell One Hander, the PCC Barry Wood Folder, the Fury Boot Knife, the Buck Ultra Light, the Schrades ,the Gerber LST, AG Russell Funny Folder in Ti., the Laguiole, the CRKT KISS, and Stiff KISS, and it looks like a few other knives we have in common.

I'm gonna say I have between 50 and 100 knives, and almost all of them have a connection to BFC. My collecting has been at a slow pace, which is fine. I doubt I'll ever get to 200 knives and 150 seems like a lot at this point. The primary focus of my collection is Stag. I still buy production knives they scratch an itch that I have. Custom knives from makers who are personal friends are my real pride and joy.

You can see many of my knives if you click on my signature logo bellow and go to "My Knives" or "My Knives II".

Wow, I'm way behind. Lets see....

1 Sak
1 Kershaw Vapor II (lost it. left it stuck hilt deep in some ninja at the local mall)
1 Kershaw Blur
1 Kershaw Chive Boron
1 Spyderco Manix

I really don't think I'll be buying too many more, the manix is so good I can't think of why I'd need something better. I may want a nice 'office' knife since the manix is too heavy for slates/dockers. (any suggetsions???)

I am gonna say I fall between 50-150. I have not had them all out in a while. When I founf this place I started selling and trading up for better knives, but I think I still have more than 50.

Cerberus

Four.

I like using what I have, and 4 is about my personal limit for EDC rotation. Any more and I would probably feel the need to simplify:

1 small Sebenza Classic that is my EDC
1 BM limited edition 940 with D2 steel and carbon fiber scales--I use it for "heavier-use days" like camping and at the range
1 old Schrade stockman that I inherited when grandpa died. Goes with me Sundays.
1 boxwood Laguiole a friend gave me--non user

I also have a box of mini SAKs but I don't count those because I give them away to friends and my kids

I also plan to purchase a Mnundi in giraffe or mammoth bark for a gent's folder, but I probably won't for a year or so.

33

A handful of sturdy users from Spyderco and Benchmade, 8 multitools of varying size stashed in different backpacks and tool boxes, 2 BM rescuehooks (I guess these count), 2 balis, a few SAKs, a couple of traditional Bucks, and only 3 fixed blades (really gotta work on that.... and some customs... :D )

I've been collecting/accumlating for about a year, but probably acquired ~1/4 of my stuff randomly in the years before that.

**woohoo - 100th post, what do I win? Anyone have a Strider with fit/finish not up to par with their Benz that they want to dispose of? :D

:D :D :D I don't think soooo.
That's funny man.

When I first met my wife (18 years ago) she asked me the same question. We went to the flea market and bought a display case to get them all in one place. At that time it was just over 100. Today, it is a full Gerstner and a chest of 6 drawers that I made myself, not to mention tool boxes, glove boxes, my wife's purse, my 16 year old daughter, etc. My top 10 favorites (right now at least) have to be:
Sog Tigershark in SK5
Warner-Moran Rio Grande Bowie
Gerber BMF and LMF
All 5 Benchmade Griptilians (2inD2, 2inS30V, 1 440c)
My dad's 8OT old timer large stockman
My brother's Buck 112 (no nail nick)
The 110 Alaskan Hunter (S30V) my wife bought me for Christmas this year
2 AG Russell 1965 camp knives (one stag, one ebonywood)
2 Iron Mountain Knife Works beauties
Swamp Rat battleRat

No, no Sebenzas (yet), no Wiliam Henry's (yet), and I REALLY want a Xicar Elan in Pearl. More to come.

right now this minute 53, including BM, MT, spyderco, extrema ratio, EKI, buck, and sevaral customs including ernest emerson, pat crawford, bud nealy, john greco and darrel ralph.

I can't vote either.

My collection number about 62 pieces, but I don't declare that figure very often as people just don't understand. I have been collecting "factory knives" for a few years now, mainly Cold Steel, Spyderco, SOG, CRKT, Gerber, Kershaw etc.

and a couple of Benchmades, a Camillus, a DeltaZ pen, a Boker, a Beretta, the list goes on....

T. Erdelyi,

Good spotting, despite the poor photo. I wasn't going to post it since it didn't come out as well as I'd hoped, but it does show a quantity of knives, the current topic. I definitely need to get a higher vantage point for the fixed-blades...

The "Fury" skeletal boot knife you see on the far right of the table isn't marked. It's a cheap Fury knockoff  that someone gave me, along with an old DuPont Remington, so it averages out. :) The other skeletal bootknife is a Tekna.

Interestingly, to me anyway, all three of the AG Russell One-Hand knives are First Productions, one of each style.

Comparing the photo to my knife log book, I took those photos about 30 knives ago...

I gotta wonder how many people here had their collections influenced by the Forum?

Ha! I bought most of my collection on this forum! I voted 50 to 150, haven't counted for a while but I think it's around 60. There's no real rhyme or reason to it, just an accumulation of knives that I like or liked enough to buy at the time.

Not too much. I probably wouldn't have bought a Griptillian if it weren't mentioned so often on the forums. And the Schrade Forum has fueled my desire for OldTimers. And I have bought a couple of things from the forum sale sections. But overall most of the knives I own were purchased without encouragment from you guys; I'm more influenced by the incredible photography in AG Russell's catalogs. :)
