As far as value of collection for re-sale... you've become a knife investor.
People collect pennies, and stuff they find on the beach, so the value of whatever knife you have doesn't exclude you from being a collector.
People can and do use their collections, rod/reel, vintage cars, bikes etc.
I'm a collector with nothing in my collection but users.
