dexter, if you are reading this post, i saw a shot of you with kelly yates on supposedly a "light" carry day...lol.now say you went to a friends for a beer or 2 or just to watch the game, how many would you carry?

Shawn - heh, I carry too many knives

If I went over to a buddy's place to hang out, I'd have a couple on me....though, if he's a knife nut too I'd don "the vest" chock full of goodies to flick while watching the game

That's pretty cool. I saw on someone's website a picture of Mr. Ewing and some other people at a knifeshow...he had on his vest, and there were a whole bunch of people displaying all the knives the was carrying (must have been about a dozen knives). Very amusing.

Some of us manage to set off metal detectors at 100 yards without the vest!

I emptied my pockets and belt pouches onto my new legal-size scanner a couple of weeks ago.

James,

My God... That's a lot of "tools" to carry to make your life more "convenient."

I almost hate to admit this, but after hangin' around Dex for a while now, I've also bought a vest to wear at shows. It's a lot more convenient than lugging my knife case around. It had 19 pockets, so while I don't carry all of my knives, it does allow me to carry my favorites and my newest toys. The there's the belt sheaths, pants pockets, shirt pockets...

It's a good thing that the show floors are made of reinforced concrete! We are quite a sight at the restaraunt at lunchtime, pulling dozens of knives out and passing them around the table.

Now that I think about it, I think at this years Blade Show all of the NC Knife Knuts who wear vests (yes, that means you too Davidb415!) will empty their pockets on the table and we'll get a group pic of us and all of our toys. LOL

In everyday life I'm not really that sick. I only carry a few knives. The SAK Mini-Champ is ALWAYS in my left front pocket with the keys, etc... The folder of the day (Delica, Starmate, BM 705, etc...) gets clipped to the right front pocket. Depending on what I plan on doing that day, I might wear my SwissTool in a Gary Graley leather belt sheath on my left side. Sometimes I'll wear my Case Pocketworn Copperlock in a small cordura sheath on my right side. If I'm wearing a jacket, I'll usually slip a few knives in the pockets. When I'm heading to work, I'll put a few (3? 4? 5?) customs into the briefcase to play with throughout the day.

OK, CRAP! I really am sick, aren't I?

I just can't leave 'em at home...

Why do I feel naked out of a sudden?

(Carrying just a large 'Benza and an M2 Sebertool)

Damn, for you guys, a weight-loss plan just means emptying your pockets!

Knave - in my case, a weight gain for me means stuffing my pockets

Good grief, Jim, do you clank when you walk? Do you throw off the compasses at the local airport? LOL! That's one hell of a load-out, if I must say so!

The pen is mightier than the sword...outside of arm's reach. Modify radius accordingly for rifle.

Hallo, Senator !

You really ARE NOT sick at all, you just has described typical "gentlemen's" set and way of it's carrying.
I ALLWAYS carry the Victorinox SAK "Climber" (or "Camper" - it is depend on situation) in my LEFT FRONT POCKET. Spyderco "Calypso Jr." is ALLWAYS clipped to the RIGHT FRONT POCKET. Leatherman "Wave" is ALLWAYS carried in briefcase (no sheath) - at a daily routine or in its own leather belt sheath on my RIGHT SIDE (sorry) - when I'm going to "outdoor".
At camping and things like that I add Buck "CrossLock DoubleBlade" to LEFT FRONT POCKET on my vest and for saling I add Victorinox "Skipper" which I keep aboard the yacht all season.

First of all Im proud to know a fellow like Dex. Hes a nice person that is well informed about the knife industry..

so ids Jmaes and Sneator. I can only speak about the folks I have met here.

DEX HAD MORE KNIVES ON HIS PERSON THAN HIS TOTAL BODY WEIGHT....AT THE SHOT SHOW!!!!!!
James we talked at the shot . The nice thing is I didnt realize that you werer packin the ranch on ya.

I have decided to carry a metal detector from this point forward to determine the hidout situation of each person I talk to.

Thanks Darrel,

Now I have a new goal. I want to go to the Blade Show carrying my weight in fine knives on my person.

Unfortunately, if I am successful I will probably set off all of the Metal Detectors at Hart Field from the Show Floor.

Not only does Dexter carry a lot of knives, they`re usually pretty nifty knives to boot. The vest is the key. Kelly and I borrowed the concept from the trendsetter,Dexter.Shawn, you`ll have to come up to the Charlotte show to see Dexter, senator(Kelly Yates) and myself in our vests. Old Navy ain`t got nothin`on us!

I thought I was weird!

Time was, I would only carry one knife at a time. Now I HAVE to carry at least one
SAK: Soldier, Mini Champ, Executive, Tinker, or Hiker (depending on chores or mood).
Clip knife: Usually a Spydie, sometimes a BM, CRKT, or other.
Spyderco Cricket as money clip.
CRKT KISS or Wrangler (Colt lockback) in fanny pack.
Spyderco Ladybug II on keys.

But now I feel like a lightweight compared to you guys!!! (maybe I ought to look into a cool vest!)
