How Many Knives In Your Collection?

I have enough but not too many. There might even be room for one or two more.

I suppose that I am in the minority here since I limit myself to a maximum of 10 knives at any given time. I currently have 9 knives (6 folders and 3 fixed) but will soon be selling a folder that I didn't bond with, so call my collection a grand total of 8.
Now that I think about it, 10 seems to be my stopping point for pretty much everything I collect. I am prone to trading up when getting rid of an item which allows me to be satisfied with a small collection.

33. Some are duplicates. Like an above poster said, my kitchen knives are also not very nice. One victorinox fibrox does most of the work.

Around 40ish. But I don't think of it as a collection really. I use most of them, apart from the ones I don't like, and there's no theme to it, just knives I liked the look of, or that are pretty universally praised.

Too many, probably 100 - 150. Going to start whittling them down.

Have 10 CRK folders,1 Rockstead folder and 2 Fallkniven fixed blades. They make 13 warriors ;).

My "collection" varies according to where I am, what I'm doing, and the season.
Usually two, often three....and sometimes four from Nov-Mar

*Collection, of course, refers to the number of knives I'm carrying. Generally a modern and a traditional, with a fixed blade when I can...and maybe something in a jacket pocket if it's cold enough for a jacket.
Occasionally, I'll find myself with five - when I grab a knife on my way out of the house, then realize I already had one in my pocket - but I start feeling a little self conscious when I have five...five isn't normal, it's a sign of a problem.

I have more of an accumulation than a collection after 30 years of working with knives. Now I’m assembling a nice collection of a half dozen or so nice working pieces including a few folders.

This is also how I roll. My total number is 15, and consists of 6 modern folders (Benchmade, Fox), 6 traditional folders (Buck, Opinel, GEC, Fallkniven) and 3 fixed (Bark River, LionSteel, Helle). In fact, I currently only have 5 traditionals but will fill the open slot still before Christmas. Also, I just aquired a new modern folder recently, which means another one of my modern folders went to the bay. In this way I have really figured out what I like, and virtually all of my current knives either fill a specific need/ niche or really speak to me.

Price range is from 15 to 300 bucks a piece, and I carry all of them. I find that my 15 are more than I'd ever really need, but they give me a nice level of variability to choose from every morning.

Way too many lol...61 ZTs (including a few doubles) and about the same number of kershaws...plus a few Spydercos and benchmades, so probly 140 or so and maybe $15,000 worth. And I love em all but looking back I would’ve skipped most of the cheap kershaws and just collected the better knives
