How many knives is TOO MANY?

Too many knives ?
That's when you have to make a third trip back into your burning house and you still haven't brought out the children.

you're going to want that shrike after MCRD, son. She's going to spend half of your pay redecorating the kitchen and buying shoes. Collect that which gives you joy, this includes girlfriends.

My collection started with several knives from established manufactures. Except for a few exceptional blades, I stopped buying name brand. Guess I've become a knife snob because I turned to custom's only about two years ago. Since the cost keeps me from getting too many, I appreciate those two or three I choose each year. Personally, having too many knives diminishes the uniqueness of each individual knife. I try to put a lot of thought into the blades I choose, thus I treasure the blades I have. For me, it's the quality of the collection, not the quantity. This philosophy keeps me out of trouble with those around me, and keeps me out of the poor house (usually).
