I'd LIKE to be able to have just a few good knives. 4 actually, 2 fixed blades and 2 folders...and of course one multi-tool:
One all-purpose, nice looking, not too small/not too big fixed blade for out in the bush.
One mid-sized, grippy, easy-access fixed blade for self defense.
One good folder for out in the bush (My Buck 110 seems to fit the bill).
And a one handed, grippy folder for self defense and/or general utility (when fixed blade carry is difficult or less practical depending on clothing or situation/location)
And of course my Leatherman Wave.
So far i have or have owned a Victorinox alox Secretary, Victorinox Outrider, Buck 373, Buck 55, Buck 110, Buck 119, 154CM Camillus EDC, CRKT Mt Rainier (older, with AUS 6 steel) CRKT F4, a Mora, 3 hand made hunters, a Leatherman Wave, some junkers...
Out of that, i only really use the 110, Wave and 119.
