How many lights do you have on you right now...?

Joe: What bad thing(s) did you hear about their switch and what was supposed
to have been re-engineered? I ask because overall I've been pretty happy with
mine.

FWIW, the last time I spoke with them (about a year ago), they told me that
they were going out make a CombatLight-styled flashlight as well.

yeedude:

I can't remember the exact complaints. Something to the effect that the entire plastic cap was the switch, and perhaps it wobbled or something (as opposed to Surefire's really well-engineered switch). I definitely recall TACM3 folks saying they knew this was a problem and were going to re-engineer the switch. Spark actually did a very thorough review of the TACM3, but didn't like it at the time.

What did the TACM3 folks mean by combat-style flashlight? Any idea?

Joe: I believe what they meant was that they designed a barrel with a "hump" so that he Wilson/Rogers-style (a la SureFire 6Z) of pistol/light use could be employed...

Hmm... Not many minimags or Solitaires (none that I could find actually). Has the ubiquitous Mini-Maglite Solitaire really been dumped and replaced by the PhotonII?

For myself, I carry a 2AAA UKE minilite. I used to carry a CMG Infinity as well, but something went wrong with it and now I'm awaiting the replacement that's being mailed to me from the kind folks at CMG Equipment.

They were incredibly fast in replying to my email and even gave me the leeway of not sending the defective light back, seeing that I am in Australia.

Clay,
I have this one:

Surefire 9P in my car when I go to work; otherwise it's on the bookshelf right next to my bed.

ASP Sapphire light on my keychain. Also on my wife's keys, as well as my kid's. Bright lights, and it helps a LOT at night.

MagLights in both of my cars, as well as one next to my wife's bedside table.

AAA MiniMagLite next to my son's bed, and AA MiniMags by both of my daughter's.

Guess I should get me some Photons as well, eh?
