I posted awhile back about using my LCC for just this purpose. My brother had just moved into a new house and by the end of the afternoon the side yard was literally filled with empty cardboard boxes of all sizes. 90 minutes later the mountain had been reduced to a single dense pile of flattened cardboard approximately 4 feet wide by 5 or 6 feet long and a good 4 feet high.
Every single one of those boxes received four separate cuts (one the entire length of each corner). Lord only knows how many linear feet of cardboard I cut that day, but to MT's credit a couple of seconds on my charged leather strop at home that night was all that required to bring the blade back to shaving sharpness. And the stonewashed finished blade showed no signs of scratching or wear. The experience gave me a newfound respect for the capabilities of properly heat treated 154CM.
