how many natives have a little blade play?

Hi Ryan,

We usually take them off and bend 'em back. Too strong and you might be tearing things. Tough to find the "right" compromise.

I haven't tried the Titanium clip that we use on the Salts? We should be getting in some of those clips in a few weeks.

Thanks Sal. That is what I did. I put a little bit more bend in the clip so that it is tighter than it originally was. So far so good, guess I was just asking in case it happens again. Thanks again!

When you say flick, do you mean keeping your thumb on the blade throughout the range of its motion or literally flicking it and letting momentum carry the blade through to the lock? I don't know if my new centofante III will ever get loose enough for the latter.

I mean snapping the blade open with momentum after giving it a start with my thumb....It makes a loud snap when finished. John

Well it happened again. Bent out about 1/8" from handle. Not as severe as last time but definitely wont grab my pocket. I bent it back and bent the tip down some (the part that bends up so that there is a gap for the pocket material to slide under) to see if it will catch on things less since it doesnt protrude as much. If it happens much more I guess I will have to relinquish this to a truck knife and not my EDC. Do all spydercos have the same thickness steel for the clip? I'm definitely not trying to bash or anything but it seems that the clips on my benchmades might be a hair thicker and I have never had this problem, and I have had these for much longer than I have had the spyderco. It would be really nice if there was a beefier model clip that I could put on as I love carrying the knife. Just thought I would relay my experiences. I might should start a new thread but I figure I already mentioned it here. Thanks,

Ryan
