How many nuances of red have GEC used?

Jeff.........

Did you do that all from memory ? What a guy...................

I've got a "Brimstone Bone." Looks a lot like the red barnboard bone above.

You might check that tube again. That is "Hangmans Rope" jigging I believe. Most of the brimstone/carved pumpkin were cullpepper dyed bonestag, but seems as if the did do a 53/54 in brimstone that looked a lot like a wine or hemlock green type.

You'll be correct. It is "red hangman's bone." I got the knife in my pocket and the one I was drooling over mixed up. 😄

not exactly:-)
I went through the lists from 2006 through 2012 (they don't have 2013 done yet) and came up with these.

Thank You!

Rust,Bloodx2,Dark Cherry,Ruby.

Great Photo! Im in on the Bloodx2...
conjecture: Blood Red seems to be a black overdye, of Dark Cherry, maybe.. I do think GEC uses layered dyes in progressively darker shades for some colors. Maybe they buff down at the ends after... just a guess.. If correct, I would be tempted to "improve" the too orange, for me, Rust Red.

Hey Jon -Not sure how its done. The blood reds seem to have a yellow nuance which I call the plasma:D.
The dark cherry is v dark -it looks black until you look right at it. I took this pic in blazing sunshine to get the colours up.
It wouldn't be rust red if didn't have an orangeyness now would it? The ruby is consistent with no undertones to speak of.
