How many of us use our BF Natives?

Danelle's post in Titan's thread set me thinking. How many of us use the BF Native that we bought? I carry mine and use it every day , as Danelle apparently does. How many others? BTW, the blue clip shows no wear, as yet.

I apologize to those who are still awaiting their Blue Natives. I should have realized the hurt this thread might cause.

I carry mine too! When I work in uniform I carry my Starmate, in civvies I carry my BF Native. BTW, I had my nickname engraved on the G-10 scales. Looks great!

Hey Copfish,
Tell me more about engraving G-10. I never thought of that. Cool idea. Does it hold up well? Did you do it with a dremel? Was wondering.
Thanks

Mine's still in the box. I usually carry my Endura or Calypso Jr. I'm used to and comfortable with those two. I've only carried my carbon fiber Dragonfly two or three times. I like the Native but really don't need it.

I certainly plan on carrying and using mine...unfortunately, I haven't received it yet

(I'm still waiting for the completion of the neck sheaths).

I guess I'll just have to buy more knives to carry in the interim...

I carry mine. In fact, I already have a couple of dings in the handle because it flew out of my waistband with I pulled my shirt-tail out one afternoon. Boy, was I peeved!!

Mine has the standard Native SS clip on it, though. The blue one started to show wear (actually, losing some of the blue) after just 5 days of wear.

The PLAN was to buy 2 - a user and a keeper. My wallet betrayed me.

All I have is one! I can't bring myself to use it - it's just too nice looking for a beater. I already have a couple of beaters which are at least adequate!

Go ahead you macho knifenuts call me a hard core collector. I deserve it!

Ditto, Bob. Maybe someday you and I will have the only 2 mint new in the box B.F. Native in the world, and if we aren't the only ones who cares we still have our awesome knives hahaha.

I have two - one for right hand and one for left. I use both, though the right one more. Why a left hand? When I go running, I tucked the left hand model in my wasitband behind the back, When I draw with the right hand, slipping fingers into the waistband with palm facing out, the BF comes out with the hole in the proper place. The right handle model is usually carry in my right front pocket.

My wife carries her plain edge every day, and really likes it. Even carries it in her uniform at Reno Police Dept. I carry my serrated BF everyday also, so I have a serrated on me to go along with my Sebenza, and Starmate.

I use mine to gain statisfaction and fun by opening, and closing, and fondling, in front of the TV. My daily carry is a Delica.

I've carried mine a few times, but I still cut with the SAK. Wish I had the money to buy two, then I'd beat the tar out of it.

sing,

I'm green with envy.

Isn't the palm out draw a little awkward? My primary jogger is a neck knife, but I keep a spare folder in back right waistband. It's tip down and I draw it palm in.

Tim,

My little Victorinox SAK is the best buy I've ever made for 10 bucks! It cuts and cuts and cuts and sharpening it is a breeze!

Well I'm still waiting for mine with the sheath.... after I get it I'll evaluate whether it'll be a user or a display piece.

Anyone hear/see anything new about delivery of the knife/sheath combo?

I use mine, although it's not a daily carry for me. The fine point with the swedge makes it work great for dismantling cardboard boxes.

Bob,

The draw is similar to drawing a fixed blade carry horizontally across the back of the waist. At least that's how some of my fixed blades are rigged for and what I am used to.

You can be "green" while I lose my greenbacks to this edged obsession.

Sometimes I carry a "jewlery" type knife....you know a mint piece in a nice sheath but then use my M16 or other beater that I am carrying that day. That way I can take it out and admire it and maybe utilize it for light duty but keeping it pretty new and have the back up for heavier use.

As far as the BF Native....I think I will use it.

I just used mine to cut the box with CF Concealex for BF Native Sheaths. They will be on the way to Spark by the end of the week.
