How many of us use the Spydie on their food daily?

Very interesting that many of you guys use the C-36 Military model on food applications  My current main EDC is my M390 Military model and it gets it's share of food usage. However my main Spyders I use in the kitchen and for other food processing are three of my C-17 Catcherman models>> i.e. the older AUS-8 full Spyderedged version is far and away my favorite Spyderco kitchen blade. I also use my Spyderedged K-04 & K-05 models quite a bit too.

One Spyder that many consider to be an oddball for using with food are two of my older FB05 Temperance 1 models>> I have a PE and SE version and I use both of them almost weekly for some type of kitchen chore. The PE Temperance 1 model is truly like a mini-chef's knife in a lot of ways and I can't even imagine going into the kitchen anymore without it.

Spyderco's older full Spyderedged blades are truly some of the best kitchen knives I've ever used. And I've got several professional culinary blades like J.A. Henckels, Wustof, Messermeister and a few other superb kitchen blades I've acrued over the years but most of the time I gravitate towards one of my Spyders.

Pretty sure my three yer old would starve if I didn't peel and slice fruit on the spot for him. DLC millie I carry all the time, use it without hesitation for deanimating apples, oranges, strawbs, nanners or any other marauding foodstuffs. Just wipe it off and wash it often.

Also, don't poke your potential food prep blade into gross stuff. Carry a poking blade for things you would want to wear gloves to touch.

i always have some sort of spyderco in my pocket ! so when i'm eating a apple i like to cut it up,ether at home or on the run!plus its fun to do,its a habit with me.

I use the kitchen knives at home. But I use a folder for food prep at work, picnicking, whatever/wherever, and the Military (S30V or S90V) is the ideal food prep folder.

I have never hesitated to cut food with my knives. I take my lunch to work about half the time and I use whatever knife I'm carrying to slice fruit or sandwiches. I have also used my EDC to cut barbecue or whatever. I don't worry about germs, I do keep my knives fairly clean but certainly don't disinfect them.
