Very interesting that many of you guys use the C-36 Military model on food applications
My current main EDC is my M390 Military model and it gets it's share of food usage. However my main Spyders I use in the kitchen and for other food processing are three of my C-17 Catcherman models>> i.e. the older AUS-8 full Spyderedged version is far and away my favorite Spyderco kitchen blade. I also use my Spyderedged K-04 & K-05 models quite a bit too.
One Spyder that many consider to be an oddball for using with food are two of my older FB05 Temperance 1 models>> I have a PE and SE version and I use both of them almost weekly for some type of kitchen chore. The PE Temperance 1 model is truly like a mini-chef's knife in a lot of ways and I can't even imagine going into the kitchen anymore without it.
Spyderco's older full Spyderedged blades are truly some of the best kitchen knives I've ever used. And I've got several professional culinary blades like J.A. Henckels, Wustof, Messermeister and a few other superb kitchen blades I've acrued over the years but most of the time I gravitate towards one of my Spyders.
