How many of you Carry your Balisong with you? Whether its in a sheath a kydex rig or in your pocket do you alway have one. Are you not old enough legally to carry a balisong, is it illegal for you to carry one in your community, or do you preffer to carry a different knife:eek:, and for these reasons or maybe others not mentioned you never carry a balisong.:(

It is illegal to carry a balisong here, so I prefer to let the balisong carry me. (Luckily I live 5 minutes from my office) I have been stopped and questioned about my choice of carry in the past, it usually ends up with me and the officer standing on the side of the road comparing tactical folders (funny to watch rubberneckers slow at the site of an officer and a civilian each holding a knife on the side of the road):D I have been very fortunate to meet officers with a passion for blades.

" You want to tell me why you have a combat folder clipped to the back of your seat? " asks the officer
" It seemed the proper place!":D

They are illegal here too, but I still carry mine. Hell, sometimes I'll have two on me.:D

the only time I DONT have my bali's on me is when i'm in my pajamas or in school. Other than that, I'm always carrying the following:

-BM42
-BM42S
-2" keychain bali in my coin pocket
-a kubotan w/2" knife inside
-a S&W First Response folder
-this little lighter with a 1.5" knife, a file, and scissors
-a zippo in a zippo pouch
-my benchmade torx kit
-a $1 set just like it, only with your standard bits
-a Cross Ion Gel pen (looks really cool)
-a magnetic money clip

yes, my pants weigh a lot ;)

Good lord Darth. You are definatly going to jail:D I have my 42 on me all the time. It's dull as sh*t so utility is out of the question.

You left out the option I'd choose:
Very, very discreetly :)

I'm pretty sure Darth wouldn't be choosing that one. :D

Jeez Darth, I think six knives is the new record. I only carry mine outside on my property while doing yard work. I despise Georgia's ambiguous knife laws. I figure the 42 would not fly with an LEO. Instead, I carry an LCC which I think an LEO would see as a tool... after all, it has a lanyard. Sometimes I'll carry my Mini-AFCK instead.

6 sounds like a good number to me. My average load is 2 but in the winter time I carry more than that.

I carry at the most:
1 BM 42 on horizontal belt rig from Clay
1 BM 30 in back pocket with wallet
1 BM 45 on neck holster
1 FHM Balisong on shoulder rig from Clay
1 Model 605 kit knife
1 BM gents folder in coin pocket

Depending on what jacket I wear I sometimes carry a couple others.

This is not my everyday load out though, just when it's cold enough for a long coat.

Good God People
thats just plain too many for me...
I carry my jag and thats about it
i have three knives... one is always with me
hehehe

cant carry them here. Learned that lesson when an LEO borrowed them.

Some of the guys I used to mIRC with in the BF forum would carry like 2 boot knives, 3 tactical folders 2 autos, a wallet card and something on a keychain.

I have either my Spydie Military or my Camillus tactical folder with the pocket clip removed (since Im lefty)

Nate

It depends on the situation or where I'm going to be..but chances are I'll be carrying.I haven't been stopped by an LEO for any reason in many years,so I do tend to carry concealed.

Umm...I used to carry anywhere from 7 to 9 balisongs every day, when it wasn't a problem to carry them openly. Now,since it is a problem,I'll only carry 1 or 2.If I ever get to be in a bali-friendly state again...I'll be back up to 9 :)

Darth, I'd love to see you go through a metal detector. Or more so the swat team that would come running. :D

I only carry my BM42, with the occasional SKM in the back pocket. But I can honestly say that I have not been more than 6 feet away from my 42 since I got it... ever. It goes with me no matter what. It's even seen the inside of a cop shop. Alright, that was dumb, but I seriously just forgot :p

If I got caught carrying a balisong, I could very well have my (work) licenses revoked and then I would lose my job. :( So my balisongs never see the light of day. They stay in my home at all times.

For everyday carry, I use a BM 722S. Just one though.

Darth, when I read your post, I had a flashback to The Matrix when Neo walked through the metal detector and opened his jacket for the security guard. Armed to the teeth! :D

That is exactly what I thought of also!!!!!:D:D The Matrix is a sweet movie, too bad there is only 1 knife in the whole thing! :(

I only carry my balisongs around the house, I would have my 42 in coin pocket, 30 and a 45 in RH pocket, and my custom and other 45 in LH pocket. But now I just carry my Snody IWB, Campos in LH pocket, 42 in coin pocket, and LCC D/A clipped in RH pocket. But if I am outside my house it is an LCC D/A clipped in RH pocket and Buck Crosslock clipped in coin pocket.

I always carry a song with me, if its not my bm42 its an FHM, and always a back-up gerber combat folder or a Paragon ATO-10 tanto otf. Heck, carrying a knife at work is a major work rule violation, but i'm still employed everyone knows I'm a major knife nut, even management. When anyone at work see's me they come up and ask which one and/or how many?

lol, god do I hate Metal Detectors. I could walk through naked and the damn thing would go off. When our class went to washington DC, I couldn't make it through a single detector without it going off. Weird thing was, when they used the wand it almost always went off near my knees...

and it really isn't as many as it seems ;). each has it's own use
-BM42: general flipping and self-defense
-BM42S: A lot sharper, and therefore my utility and secondary defense
-S&W First Alert: More of an emergency knife. I rarely pull it out. Great for cutting seatbelts and stuff. It has this spring-loaded glass-shattering thing in the bottom that's really cool.
-keychain bali: public flipping and public utility
-kobutan: defense and usually what I lend to people when they need a blade
-lighter knife: I usually just use it to clean out my watch ;)

try to mug me. I dare ya' ;)

What states are bali friendly? Is washington state a bali friendly state? If a store sells them than does that make them legal to have and carry ? Just wondering because I bought 1 from a store thats by my house and I saw a bm42A at the shooting range also.
