Ever since I got my first lockback I had always closed them with two hands. I don't know why, it just seems natural to me. I've seen people close their lockbacks one-handed with ease, kind of makes me wonder am I being stupid. How do you close your lockbacks?

I will close my Manix one handed because he choil won't allow the blade to get my finger.

One handed but only for knives with a Spydie hole. I use my thumb to actuate backlock and my index finger on the thumb hole to close the blade.

I close my Spyderco "mid" locks one handed easily. The back-locks I close with two hands.

I can close my lockbacks one handed but I use two hands of it's convenient. In fact, I close all my folders two handed, if circumstances allow.

I use one hand if the lock is in the middle, like Boye, Spyderco, Byrd, etc. If not, I'll use 2, unless its a knife I'm really used to, like my 20 year parter, my trusty Buck Scoutlite.

I have a midlock that is extremely easy to close one handed.

I point the knife so that the edge faces the floor, and use my thumb to depress the lever. Gravity pulls the blade down almost halfway closed, at which point it encounters some resistance from the spring. I then rotate the knife in my hand so that I can use my thumb to close it the rest of the way, making sure not to guillotine my fingertips.

With my Schrade LB-7 (similar to Buck 110), it's possible to hold it in an icepick grip, press the lever with my thumb, and then close it on my leg or something, but it seems a little clumsy and risky.

All of the lockbacks I use I can and do fold with one hand. However they are all midlocks not backlocks like, say on a buck 110. If I'm using a backlock then I'll usually use two hands unless I'm doing something with one hand.

One hand for sure, it bugs me if i cant close a folder with one hand, except for slipjonts:)
