While I'm not into traditional folders, I go to the same flea market every Sunday! This Sunday I realized there is literally hundreds of these slip joint folders there. I even came across a boker this Sunday that like to be at least 50 years old, I forgot to snag a picture.

I have not been to a flea market for many years but suddenly I want to come to yours. Where are you located, if I may ask?

I go to my local, rather large flea market almost every Saturday, weather permitting and have never seen anything remotely close to that! Mostly "knife" guys selling mall ninja Cutlery Corner dealer lots for absurd markups. They always have a crowd around them too.

I go to the local market as much as I can, but there is never anything like that. Aside from one or two at a table here and there, there's two guys who sell knives, mostly junkers in a box.

This is what I brought home from an Antique Mall/Flea Market on Saturday. Schrade Walden 825 and Western S-901 A.

I do several local flea markets each year and almost always see displays like you have pictured. Problem is, these knives are very low quality
and have been abused in one way or another. They would be OK for someone who's looking for a project knife to restore or maybe a once in a while user.
I never give up hope though, someday that one special sleeper knife will be waiting to go home with me. Happy hunting!

I love flea markets! I have one about 45 min drive from where i live and there is a guy with TWO 6 foot tables full of bins of old slipjoints and fixed blades. Theres some cheap junk but i have scored quite a few nice ones. I will take some pics later of my haul last summer. Only downside is its only open 4-5 months out of the year

There is a large monthly flea market about 100 miles from here that I go to every now and then. There's a gentleman that sets up there every month and he has probably around 300 traditional knives on display. Some new but mostly vintage Case, Schrade, Boker, etc. I've purchased several vintage knives from him over the years. Mostly near mint Case knives from the XX era. His prices aren't bad but he knows values so no real bargains to speak of.

Visiting his table is like visiting a table at a knife show.

I lived on the west coast for many years and in the area I lived there were very little in the way of flea markets, and when there were there were never any knives. Mostly rickety furniture and moldy blankets. Lol

But since being back on the east coast there is a flea market every weekend in my town. Plus there is several in the county. All have tables full of knives. It's so awesome. Some tables have nothing but junk, others have hidden gems and others have new/collection.

The Kamp King and Colonial Ranger were Flea finds.

The flea market near me is like going to a Dollar store. Ive never seen any nice slippies just mall ninja knives :(

I love flea markets. Too bad most of the ones I go to have few treasures. So far the only real treasure I have found is a pre WW1 Wostenholm Senator.

Flea Markets are a great place to find cool old stuff (sometimes). And to get the best deals you sort of have to know what you are looking for/at. But either way, I really enjoy my Monthly Flea Market and hit it up every chance I get.

See the thread "Flea Market Finds" for more cool knives people pick up.

Edit for knife content: Recent purchase at the Flea Market, Large Buck 307

I love going to farmers markets, flea markets, junk malls, antique malls etc. I must've cleaned them all out though, because they are few and far between anymore. Still like the hunt, finding a great knife in a tool box or behind something in a large display case is half the fun.

I've found a lot of Camillus, Kutmaster and Schrade, but I've also found a few Primbles, Remingtons, Bokers and Case XX.

Most of the time you have to dig through the junk or ask the booth holder if they have any good stuff. Usually the knives are overpriced, but I've gotten some good deals. Got a MADE IN USA camp knife made by Camillus for about 5 bucks at a farmers market.

I go to flea markets every weekend. A large percentage of my purchases are from other collectors looking for knives like me.

I go to Pomona swap meet and car show. Normally two mall ninja guys a few with low end random knives that they put out because if someone wants one they're free and better than trashing them barely. Guy or two with decent selection then multiple guys with few old knives and never seen a benchmade saw a partial serrated delica tho

I do a flea market Sunday and an auction Monday morning early! I don't know anything about old slip joints but i coma across a lot nice "case" knives and some schrade and a lot of German stuff
