how many of you guys use a can opener

Leatherman Wave has a great LOCKING can opener.

Last night I tried using my Victorinox Trekker can opener on a thicker than usual vegetable can, as the can opener did not lock open, it kept folding on the upswing (it worked great on the actual cut into the can) - after 4 tries, I got out my Leatherman wave's LOCKING can opener, it flew thru the job.

I do like the wider design of the Victorinox, just wish it locked.

Again, even if TSA confiscates my P38, I'm still out only 50cents and there should a SAK sitting in your luggage when you get off

This is sorta funny. I used to have a SAK clone I was using for opening cans. Unfortunately, one day it broke the SAK's most important tool (the corkscrew) so I forsake it in a drawer. Later on I bought a manual can opener I'm still using. I'm somehow reluctant to use a knife, the main reason being that my EDC is serrated ;)

It would be neat if a SAK had a fold out P38.

Yeah cool, I want one! :D

I have a P-38 on my keychain, it is always handy. Sometimes I will be carrying a Vic Soldier, and it has a good can opener. I never use a regular knife blade to open a can.

I have taken a P-38 through airport screening a number of times, never had it confiscated. Only once did anyone take a second look at it, and their supervisor was standing there and said it was just a can opener, let it go.
