how many of you tried making your own leather sheath?

The second sheath I ever made I accidentally made it a lefty! I learned my lesson after that and I now always double and triple check!

Here is my incomplete accidental lefty. I have since removed the retention strap and use it as a friction fit sheath for the game warden, although it was intended to be for my Lightfoot Woodsman:

The dremel with press is an invaluable tool!
 
The $40 mini drill presses from Harbor Freight work well and can lengthen the time until your Dremel motor burns out. I've killed two Dremels doing various things over the years. I use a 3/64" bit and hand stitch with synthetic sinew when I get around to tinkering with leather.
 
Hi all, been lurking here a while....still no INFI for me but i am a DOG lover and have a few Scrap Yard goodies.....

i am a big fan of my Dremel, but that is good advice on the cheapie drill press.
i have been buying my leather from Tandy also, but i think it is time to get some higher quality stuff, Wickett and Craig u say Chuddy Bear? i will check them out.

anyone thinking of making something out of leather should try once....
basic tools are all thats needed (low $$ to try and see if you got the gift:))

i just made the holster in my above post.......and i have been working with leather for just a few months now.
