put other things in the same pocket as you carry your knife, whether a slippie or using a pocket clip? I ask this because I just recently have read a couple of posts where people said they have cut themselves on thumbstuds when reaching into their pocket. Personally, for me, my "knife pocket" is just that, strictly for my knives.

I carry keys, chapstick, and a Case Sodbuster Jr in my right front pants pocket.

I keep lots of stuff in my pocket along with my knife. I carry mostly slipjoints but since I seem to be incapable of working studs they've never been a problem for me. I don't remember any problems with my Leeks either, maybe because of their scale...

I usually never just have a knife in my pocket unless I'm outside working and have deliberately emptied a cargo pocket.

Handerchief for glasses, money clip, and currently a KR Johnson swayback in the front left-hand pocket. Handerchief for my nose, tweezers, nail clippers, loose change, etc in my front right-hand pocket with a Pioneer Harvester SAK. Bunch of "crap" in the right side cargo pocket along with a RR canoe. Checkbook, debit card wallet, pen, Case large sodbuster, and other miscellaneous junk in the left side cargo pocket.

I carry my keys, lighter, etc. in my right front pocket along with a clipped one-hander, but for deep-pocket carry, I'll use my left front pocket. I usually don't have anything in my left pocket that could scratch up a knife.

In my right hand pocket, I carry a Zippo brass armor with a Thunderbird butane insert

Also in that pocket is my P-7 clip with LadyBug, Leatherman PS, Fenix LD01, Uncle Bill's stainless tweezers, Exotac Nanostriker, and my keys

EDIT: if you're curious, the hardware is all titanium. Titanium splitrings and titanium McGizmo clips

My RF pocket is strictly for my EDC blade, unless I carry a fixed for the day although even then I don't use it for anything.

Right front pocket goes my knife, try never to put anything else in there with it except handkerchief.

I carry my phone and a folder clipped on the right front pocket if I'm wearing jeans. With cargo pants, the folder gets its own pocket.

i carry my knife in my RFP, and the only other thing that ever goes in that pocket is a pen if i think to put one in there. Usually its just the knife tho. Sometimes i will carry my Spyderco Dragonfly II in the RF lighter pocket to. I dont like to put my phone or other stuff im carrying in the knife pocket just because it gets scratched up and can be a pain to take out exactly what u are trying to take out.

Mt EDC is either a Hinderer or a Sebenza, and they share the back pocket with whatever else I need in there. I'm not worried about adding to their scratch collections, they're tools.

RFP- Knife clipped and phone
LFP- Keys and paper money
LRP- Wallet
RRP- Quarters but usually nothing

Left front pocket - truck keys, swisstech key, gerber artifact.

Right front pocket - iPhone

Right leg pocket - Streamlight pen light, whatever small EDC knife usually a kershaw leek.

Right rear pocket - carrhart wallet, cold steel Recon 1

Left rear pocket - Smith&Wesson tactical pen, work badge.

I carry a bunch of shit.

Same as the OP, just my knife in my right front pocket. I don't carry so much stuff that it's necessary to load up all my pockets.

Right front...clip folder (today its my Emerson Gentleman Jim) and a Zippo.
Left front...I drop a slip joint with nothing else but maybe a Chapstick.
Right rear...wallet
Left rear...nothing.

Phone goes in a Maxpedition holster on my belt. Keys on a carabiner on belt loop.

My slip joints that I carry, I try not to scratch them up with excess junk in my pocket but it also depends on the knife. My GEC or Queen knives, I'm a little more mindful of...my Buck knives, not so much.

My right front pocket stores a packet of tissue, key pouch and EDC folder. The tissue acts as a guard against accidents when my EDC folder is not in use in tip-down mode.

I got that thunderbird insert for my zippos and it is really inconsistent? Do you have the same problem? I've heard some do and some don't.

usually carry a knife clipped in the front right pocket, i dont like to keep keys or change in the same pocket. normally i never carry my keys in a pants pocket, i clip them to a belt loop or if wearing a jacket or coat they go in a jacket pocket. if you do carry change and knife in the same pocket eventually a coin or key will get wedged in the gap between blade and liners. been there done that and dont care for a coin jammed in my knife.
