How many of your knives users?

I have a few dozen knives that are not users yet. I have three Benchmade knives I Edc. I plan on using all of them when/ if I can ever wear those three out. Does anyone else do this? It's kinda like stocking up on stuff you know you will use later. I want to buy another Fehrman Final Judgment, in satin. But 540.00 is a lot for a working man like me.
Edited to add, the Satin Final Judgment would be a collectable. A non-user, while I thrash the coated one I have now.

I try to only buy knives I'll use, although I haven't been able to bring myself to really use my Burch. I do carry all of them though and at least do light cutting with them.

All of my folding knives are or have been users. I have different ones that I might carry for different occasions though.

I have a collection of custom and factory hunting knives and most of them are not users. I have picked out a few that I would use if I had the occasion, but it has been at least 15 years since I was hunting where I would need to use one.

I'm interested in getting some larger outdoor knives like Beckers, those I would intend to use.

All.

Any knife that I have owned that I either purchased with no intention to use or decided not to use once I had it in my hands has been sold.

As much as I like having pretty knives to look at, I have too many expensive hobbies to have them sitting around.

I try to use all the ones not inside of packed away boxes at least a little, even the tiny little TDI LDK that was $7 and $9 Schrade peanut

As with venmm73, those that don't get used get traded/sold. There are but two exceptions to that rule, for me. The first being a handful of my father's old knives. Used by him, not by me. No value other than sentiment. The second ... a Pre-ESEE Izula. I don't know why, but I just cannot bring myself to either use it or rid myself of it. I guess I justify this by keeping it in a quasi-BOB in my closet. From what little I've handled it, I actually like it significantly more than what I currently carry in it's place. I do plan on buying an ESEE version, the Candiru and perhaps even a stainless Izula once they are released later this year. Maybe I can finally offload it afterwards.

All of them, those that are "retired" like my grandpas kabar, or my WW2 kukri are letter openers or just something to plat around with. Every knife i own gets some use. Whether itd my letter opener or edc

I mostly just use my BM griptilian, but almost all my knives are users. Only safe queens are the Heimo Rasimäki puukko which is just too damn beautiful to use, my grandpa's Iisakki-Järvenpää and my cheap dagger, which just isn't practical.

I bought all my knives (except one) with the intention of using them. I just haven't gotten around using about 25% of them yet.

I do not use the most of my knives. I have more folders that I will need for the rest of my life. I have three, which I carry and use the most. One more for dress-up occasions. Couple others I use during travel. Couple are retired from use. Two more probably will be added to EDC. As of today, all my need are covered

10% of mine are users. I do carry and alternate as much as I can, but it can be a tough choice and usually go to my old trusty models.

all that i buy are users or will be users...i do have one "mistake", that is "too pretty" to use; a collector's knife, and i will sell it as soon as i think there are buyers for it...

for me, safe queens is just money poorly spent; and that is an opinion that works for me only...

All users. Some I treat more gently than others (Sage 2, still my baby), some I use less than others (ESEE 6, big knife, don't really need that much edge that often), but all of them get used. I don't see a need to have objects that I don't use.

I have an edc rotation and then I have knives that sit in a drawer. They've all been carried at least once, but I tend to carry my favorite (which happens to be my more expensive knives) more, which puts them into my edc rotation

I own several dozen knives, but rotate only 10 or so in my pocket. The rest just lay in the drawer, sad that they aren't getting any love. Every time I have purchased a knife, though, I have anticipated carrying the thing. It just does not work out that way.

According ot my database I currently use 70 knives including kitchen knives. That and 2 more which are not yet in the database. Total of 72.

I'd say I use about 90% are users. The ones that aren't are MOSTLY antiques, and those that aren't all but one were free or gifts. Being an antique doesn't necessarily prevent it from being a user, either. My chicken chopper is an antique. :)
