• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

How many orders do you place a year?

Collectors/users, regardless of whether you place an order for a $1000 bowie, or ten $100 custom knives, what do you buy every year? Do you plan out your purchases, or do you just pull the trigger on whatever you like?

I ordered several knives this year that are already long gone, but have two orders I will be picking up. One in October, one in December. Things are tight for everyone, I only plan on getting two knives next year. Developing an EDC with a local maker, and a Hudson Bay camp knife from, hopefully, either ML Knives or Idaho Knife Works. A birthday present, and a Christmas present, or at least thats how I've justified them :D.

One to five. Both what I see, and some projects to a specific plan. Thanks to the artists for putting up with my ideas on those, and making them into steel realities.

I purchase 4-8 knives per year. Some via maker orders, others are new pre-made from makers and sometimes previously owned from collectors and have brought knives from dealers.
My purchases are also well planned out and am somewhat focused. I actually have certain parameters for selecting knives for purchase.
