My sister, I suppose, though it wasn't through any sort of direct effort on my part. What happened was that for years if she needed a knife to cut something she'd ask if I had mine on me, and eventually I guess she decided it was easier to have one of her own since I'm not with her 24-7. She got a small SAK-type knife somewhere along the way and then later a cheap liner lock that came with a multitool. A while back I gave her a Victorinox Tinker and last week I gave her my Mini Grip to try out.
I've had no success with my parents. My mother really isn't interested in knives. She's not afraid of them, just not interested. My father, who never forgets to grab his gun before he leaves the house, claims he'd never remember to carry a knife with him. He has one that he keeps in the bedroom for cutting stuff, but that's as close as he's gotten to an EDC. He does say sometimes that if he was going to carry a knife, he'd want it to be big. I don't think what he'd prefer would make a comfortable carry knife and it certainly wouldn't be practical for most daily applications. Oh well.
