How many people have your knives sent to hospital?

I sliced the tip of my thumb twice with kitchen knifes the first time I was sliceing a onion and the second time I was slicing a bell pepper.. Both times I had just sharpened them they were clean cuts one of them I had to super glue.. I have never cut myself on a carry blade though... Not Yet Atleast.. fingers crossed..

I sharpened a bunch of kitchen knives for a neighbor. She threw them in the dishwater and fished them out by feel. After the cuts stopped bleeding, she brought them back and asked me if I could dull them down a little.

I let my dumb a** friend use my knife once, and i ended up getting stabed in the leg. Go figure.

So far it looks like this happens to me more than others. I guess my biggest exposure was providing about 50 knives at a time for volunteers to use at the local soup kitchen. After one particular idiot stabbed himself in the hand I stopped bringing knives over 7 inches long and started bringing more with squared-off ends.

Only myself.
I was a meatcutter for a large chain, and had a Game processing Buisness for many years. From work, I had stiches around 12 to 15 times I guess, and now have a few fingers that are almost numb at the tip.

The only bad one was on the bandsaw though. Thats the only time I didn't Go back to work the same day after getting cut. Normaly after getting stiched up we would just wrap them well with plastic over bandage and go right back to work.

At home I've only had stiches from a knife 3 times. All from playing with folders.

Can I plead the 5th amendment?

I have visited the ER a few more times than I care to discuss. Every time I go, they recognize me and recall my previous visits.

Let's just say I learn things the hard way sometimes.
