How many pocket knives is too many knives in one pocket?

I have a small Swiss Army Recruit, a 2 bladed Schrade Stockman, and a small Sebenza in my front right pocket. I'm currently scheming to throw a carbon steel Opinel in there along with all the others.

What happens when you have too many pocket knives in one pocket? Does the bottom blow out, scattering knives all over?

And how many is too many?

Please don't suggest that I spread them over other pockets. I couldn't stand it. Is there a cure for pocket knife-itis?

They clink, clank, scratch each other, and move around.

Eventually, I guess it would.

Get a sheath.

2, one clipped and one as a bottom feeder, clipped is usually tactical, and pocket bottom is a small traditional.

One or two is all you need at one time(excuse my blaspheme, I love knives too!!) a small sebbie, and the sak can accomplish any thing a pile of knives can.

I carry a SAK in a concealex neck sheath and a fixed blade in a belt sheath. I almost never have a knife in a pocket, believe it or not.

Blasphemer :D :D I carry at least three. A small money clip knife, a SAK of one sort or another (usually a one hander or a super tinker) and medium size locking folder of some sort or another. When the addiction gets really bad I'll carry another larger folder IWB. I will admit that they go in different pockets though.

i agree with T. Erdelyi

For me lately its been a benchmade 740 clipped and a benchamde 310 floating in my right front pocket

Don't make the other pockets jealous, spread the wealth.

exactly, this is why you have more than one pocket :)

i always have a SAK in my pocket and something clipped

but i always have something smaller in the other pocket on my keys

I normally carry no more than one knife per pocket.

But I gots lots of pockets.

If you put too many knives in one pocket, people start asking if you are just happy to see them.

A SAK on my waist and a folder in my pocket OR a fixed blade on my neck/hip is more than enough for me.

I won't look down on those who carry two or more knives per pocket though. :D

Wow, some of you fellas carry a pocket full! :p I try to keep it simple...so far a 3-3 1/2'' strong, high quality folder has done it for me as an EDC....either that, or a small fixed blade like a Busse Game Warden stuck in my pocket (in a pocket Kydex sheath). I can't see why I'd ever need (everyone's needs are different) more than either for any daily situation. My work folders are big enough to cut up boxes, strapping, lashing, plastic sacks, chord, string, fruit, my lunch or whatever else I do daily. I like small, versatile knives. Sometimes I wouldn't mind carrying my 6'' CS Voyager though :p....people would run away if I used it in public though!

In addition to EDC clipit, sometimes I put smaller knife (Subcom or Cricket) in a watch pocket - so thet ride same side but different pockets.

I carry a S&W 642 in a Mika's pocket holster in the rf pocket, with a Kershaw Scallion in the watch pocket, and a Blur in the rr pocket. Lf carries keys & speedloader, lr has my wallet.

When my boys were small, I carried my sole SAK - period. They are 33 & 37 now. Life seemed simpler then.

I like to know that no matter which pocket my hand goes into it has a choice of lockin' and non-lockin' knives to pick from.

Cargo pants are the answer here. One, maybe two in each, and a couple IWB. That's not counting the necker, the wrist sheaths or the ones in your shoes.:D
