I think all of the fatty satins were $197. Those exact same knives, from last Tuesday, have a "buy it now" price (somewhere else) right now for $299. If they sell for that, that's a pretty solid argument for flipping- right or wrong. (personally, my gut tells me it's wrong).

How many investments do you see increase by 50% in one week?

That said, my personal opinion is that scalping knives is BS, not Hoggish behaviour. I'm just happy that Jerry hasn't taken his knives' prices on the secondary market as justification to raise his shop prices.

I passed on the black Skeleton Wardens when they were available at the BCS, but months later decided I needed a complete GW set and therefore had to have one. Guess where I got one at about the original cost (or maybe a little less when you take PayPal fees and shipping into account)?

As much as I would love to have those GW's from that other auction site(since I have none), I refuse to pay that price for them since they only bought them a week ago for $100 less....

ummmm... when was the last knife I put on the exchange? But in general, BECAUSE I DIDN'T BUY 10 TO FLIP. But because a knife was sold from the collection, and the market set the price it could get.​

It's a good thing they were not a raging hit like Black and blue Police wardens.

If you are referring to the Mistress I had listed for $35 over cost, BEFORE the included USPS Priority w/ insurance shipping was factored in not to mention the shipping I paid, I pulled it. What's your point? :confused:

I'd be suprised if we ever find out how many of these there are. Production numbers are pretty nebulous around here. Jerry and Skunk have a pretty amazing business model going. You and I know exactly how much they want us to know. I'd dearly love to get my hands on a spreadsheet that shows exactly how many of each model and variation of all the different Busses have been made. I'm not gonna hold my breath.

It'd be nice if that spreadsheet gave the name and contact info for the curent owner of each knife ever made- along with the lowest price they'd be willing to let said knife go for. Wouldn't that be useful?
