How many rounds do you carry during hunting.

Hi,

When I deer hunted with a shotgun, 1 box of 5 slugs. With my Hawken's rifle, 1 in the gun, two speed loaders in my pocket.

Upland hunting, I carry 6 shells, 4 in my pocket and two in the gun. If I use my muzzle-loading shotgun, two in the gun and 4 speed loaders.

Waterfowl, At least a full box in my magic pail.

Im mainly a deer hunter and usually carry enough ammo for one reload, I know more than likely I wont need more than one shot but i'm better off safe than sorry.
 
I deer hunt with a Remington 7400 that I've tricked out a bit. I carry two 4 round magazines, along with a belt holder that holds 10 rounds. Yeah, it seems like a lot, but I like to be prepared if I happen to run into some coyotes while I'm out. I never like to miss a chance to thin the pack. :D

Remmy 700 30.06 only carry enough rounds to fill it.
Marlin lever .35 Remmington only enough to fill it
Remmy 1187 semi auto shotty. i fill it and have 4-5more rounds on the shoulder.

where i hunt if you need to shoot a deer 5 times you have issues.. that being said my cousin shot this 11 pointer with his 30-30 and used ALL his bullets and grabbed his dad's shot gun and almost emptied that... aint that shame? that nice buck had a very tragic death. i love my cousin but he does some of the most dumbest crap i have ever seen.
 
big game .30-30 Marlin - 5 in the gun, 14 in belt carrier(one pouch)
small game / turkey 20ga Mossberg 3 in gun, 12 on belt (one pouch)

In addition I always have a loaded handgun plus a full reload. Totals:12-25 rounds.

As a LEO and someone who has seen an afternoon in the woods turn into 3 nights; there is no such thing as too much ammo.
